I have been working at Little Rock School District full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Through my tenure, we have benefited from a strong union. District has a lot of technology available to students. PD is paid for and provided.

    Cons

Turnover at the top keeps the district in constant upheaval. Diversity is diminishing as suburbs and private schools attract higher performing students.

    Advice to Management

Hire management at district and school level that plan to stay.

    Pros

Great co-workers, great programs to work with students on. Some schools better than others to work at.

    Cons

Not enough support for teachers from administration in certain schools. Too too heavy and constantly reinventing the wheel.

Great colleagues, supportive administration, benefits are pretty good. Higher leadership could better support its workers.

    Advice to Management

    Better PD opportunities
