    Pros

it was great to see the inside aspect of what a promoter does. everyone in the office books big shows and they know a lot of people.

    Cons

No one in the office, besides one assitant, shows you what to do. it is a boring internship but you get a great name on your resume. you get lots of coffee and no one says thank you. I wouldn't go back to that department.

    Advice to Management

you should integrate interns more within your department. no one takes initiative with the intern besides one assiatant. there should be more responsibilities dedicated to the interns.

    Pros

Learn a lot of hands on experience doing real life concert promoting. Deep overview of many areas of the live music business.

    Cons

Vertical organization and small space to do things outside of the box. Still recommended to build a good resume, got a job offer about a week after completing my internship.

    Advice to Management

Need some more space for creativity. Also, more budget localization is needed outside US and UK, and less canned campaigns will be good to grow your business even more outside these countries.

    Pros

Competitive salary and benefits... aside from vacation time.

    Cons

Difficult to move with in the company to other departments or get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Need to work on culture and environment. Employees feel like they cannot apply for positions within the company without retaliation.

    Pros

    - Unique problems to solve in the live music business space - Access to live events - Bring your dog to work - High performing company - Good location in Hollywood

    Cons

    - Lacks career development/learning - Highly layered structure - Too many "VP" levels - middle heavy - Difficult to progress, external hires tend to come in high up - Benefits are far from competitive

    Advice to Management

Spend more time developing employees instead of hiring in. Leadership development programs for up and coming employees, not just senior employees.

    Pros

Some high quality, good people work for the company.

    Cons

Concert industry was cool 60s-90s. Young people like me completely missed the boat. it's a stale corporate farce now. Live Nation's no fun at all. If you're committed to working in this business there are better companies out there.

  10. I enjoyed working with this company because the work is fun, fast paced, and the work environment is very enjoyable.

    Pros

Fun work at a concert venue, time usually passes by quickly, great people to work with.Food and drink provided most long days.

    Cons

Long hours, very hot some days, difficult to deal with drunken crowds at times. Very part time job. Angry customers are pretty brutal.

    Advice to Management

Allow more opportunities for career advancement, and give more responsibility to low level employees. Allow more hours to employees that desire it.

    Pros

You get to work hands on as an intern with big name artist footage. Getting exposed to high quality material is definitely a plus. Working in a high profile office is nice too!

    Cons

Don't expect a job out of this - many people I interacted with in the department were offered a job on the blue moon occasion it was open - 5 - 10 - 15 years ago. People STAY in this company, which means when you do get a job that's great, but when you're looking it's much harder. My internship, unlike many in my area, was unpaid.

    Advice to Management

don't have any advice to them at this time.
