Pros
Young work crowd, nice decor, flexible hours, fun business, access to House of Blues and free passes to some concerts
Cons
lack of privacy, noise level, no older people at all, some junior managers fresh out of a 4 year university.
Advice to Senior Management
Honor your promises you make to the workforce. Stop cutting back on things like 401k matching when you're still making decent profits
Pros
I really enjoy the company as a whole. I love what they do with music and concerts, and their business model sets them up for success in the long run.
Cons
My particular department had a severe lack of communication between employees and management. Formal reviews are not given, managers rarely (if ever) meet with employees to discuss performance or professional growth. If you are okay completely on your own, with little communication from management, and do not have aspirations for growth within a company - this could be the job for you.
Advice to Senior Management
I can't speak for senior management, but within my specific department - there is a severe lack of attention and communication.
Pros
As a college student it was great to work there as a summer job to earn some extra cash. The atmosphere was very fun considering you got to see concerts for free. The coworkers are great as well and always help each other why needed.
Cons
You only work on the weekends so there is pretty much no hours available to work. Also, the clientele can be very disrespectful.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to watch and make sure that your employees are being respected by the people who are coming into the concert hall.
Pros
Tech-heavy company -- good for programmers (they're considered GODS!)
Easy commute --- light rail or freeway
Cons
Clueless upper management -- they know tech, but not people
Salaries range from poor to miserable
Company doesn't give a rat's arse about customers, despite all the lip service.
Company is clueless when it comes to User Experience or Human Factors --- they run about 12 years behind the times on their technology, with no idea how to catch up and no desire to do so.
Advice to Senior Management
Make your customers part of your team --- they are stakeholders, just as much as management or the Exec Staff. The bottom line isn't the **ONLY** line! Hire people who know how to design and market products and services that customers will want to use, THEN LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE AND TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT!
Pros
- Potentially an exciting market to work with
- Work and Life balance is good
- Projects very manageable and not difficult to complete
Cons
- Little recognition or communication from management
- Slow influx of new projects
- Interns not compensated
- Creativity allowed but not encouraged
- No room for new hires
Advice to Senior Management
- not a stimulating environment to work in
- mid-level management incompetent
- More stimulating projects and involvement to interns
Pros
Close to the music industry. Opportunity to ease into careers with similar companies.
Cons
Short-sighted focus on the next quarter rather than the big picture.
Pros
When I worked there the people in my group were great to work with - smart and talented. Now that they've all gone, I'm not sure what the current benefits are besides access to concerts. However, after the TM merger, this may not be a benefit anymore!
Cons
It's very difficult to have a work/life balance as working here will require long days that exend into weekends, especially during the concert season.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen and support the leaders on the ground who are in touch with the day-to-day operations.
Pros
Rate pf pay is great. The offices are all over la so if location is an issue there are slot of options
Cons
Grown through acquisition so there is NO corporate culture. It is a confusing place to work, there are too many offices in one city so you don't bond with people. Highly political and not nurturing whatsoever. You don't feel important to the success or failure orthe company. Non inclusive executive culture. Very male dominated.
Advice to Senior Management
Create some kind of corporate culture and have everyone who works together in one corporate campus, or centralized office. It's a waste of a money making opportunity if you don't know how productive people are when given a supportive and challenging work environment, apple anyone?
Pros
Awesome Perks: concerts and celebrity events
Good hours
Relaxed dress code
Cool people
Some nice amenities in the office
Close to downtown Scottsdale and Tempe
Cons
Boss was a poor communicator
There were some weirdos working there
Not a whole lot of office cohesion
Work was boring and not challenging
Compensation was very low for the work that I was doing
Pros
Great industry to work in
Free access for you and a guest to most concerts at company-owned ampitheatres
Ok salary
Cons
No communication from management
Inexperienced management for a company this large
$4-5 billion in annual revenues, yet the company has never made a profit
Executives hoard all bonuses and stock awards
No performance evaluations or goal-setting processes
All talented people flee this organization as fast as they can
Advice to Senior Management
Advice to the Board of Directors - get a new executive leadership team before they run the company into the ground.
