Fantastic People, Fantastic Part Time Work - Kept me Growing

Production Assistant/Runner (Former Employee)
Washington, DC

I worked at Live Nation part-time for more than 5 years

ProsSomething new every day, love to meet the crews from the tours that come in, FANTASTIC in-house production team, lots to learn but everyone loves to help

ConsWork days can last up to 17-20 hours, and you need to mentally prepare for that. The pay is higher than minimum, but it's still very little at the end of the day.

– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Customer-focused and quality-conscience

Quality Assurance Manager (Current Employee)
West Hollywood, CA

I have been working at Live Nation full-time for more than a year

ProsCommitted to developing and providing high quality applications designed with end users in mind; great work-life balance fostered by management from the top down; flexible work hours with work-from-home opportunities; teamwork and a collaborative work environment aren't just talked about, they're embraced and expected

ConsTraffic in and around Hollywood can be dreadful at times; have to continually attempt to overcome an often very negative public perception (e.g. high/unnecessary service fees)

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep it up - keep focusing on the customer and on your employees and they'll continue to take care of you in return.

Great experience, lots of responsibility for an intern

Music Sponsorship Intern (Former Employee)
Indianapolis, IN

I worked at Live Nation as an intern for less than a year

ProsBosses gave me a good amount of responsibility, wasn't just running around getting coffee. Towards the end of my internship I was given the opportunity to run point at two concerts, essentially I was the person in charge. You really get to learn a lot about all of the different aspects of what it takes to get a concert up and running!

ConsYou are working outside in the middle of the summer, so it does get a little hot at times. Just be prepared for that!

Ticket Taker (Current Employee)

I have been working at Live Nation

Prosget to see and hear concerts for free and get paid to work in an environment that is never boring

Consthere really arent too many downsides to being a ticket taker other the seasonal work. wish there would be year round opportunity

Intern Review

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Live Nation

ProsFun, Laid back atmosphere. Lot of time away from office and at various venues - can be good or bad depending what you think. I thought it was great. flexible hours.

Consintern pay not great, seemed to give lot of crummy jobs to interns... though this can be somewhat expected. Not too much challenging work.

Advice to Senior Managementto give employees more ownership over their work, and allow lower level employees more opportunity to work on bigger projects.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
