I have been working at Living Media India

    Pros

This company provides good work environment with job security.

    Cons

For employees working for years there is no growth. There packages are not considered at par with the new employees joining.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People those who are loyal to company (stayed very long) should be taken care off. They r taken for granted by their bosses by not giving good increments. There pay package should be revised at par with the market value.

Former Employee - Assistant General Manager in New Delhi (India)

I worked at Living Media India

    Pros

Great brands to work for. Good pay structure. Generous leave entitlements. Generally a happy go lucky place as long as you mind your own business.

    Cons

Separation process is awkward and very petty. Be sure you are in the clear with respect to dues et al.

Some minor reasons could be used to delay (or deny) final settlements.

Some departments have really poor business leaders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get professional leaders into the mix. The company is on a slippery slope editorially and this is starting to show across the brands be it India Today, Cosmopolitan et al. They look more and more like shills for special interests.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Living Media India

    Pros

Great brands to work for. You could be working as Brand Manager for Cosmopolitan India. It really opens up opportunities and looks great on your profile.

Employee friendly. Things like paycuts in the recent recession were meted out with a very heavy heart and pay was reinstated once tough times were over.

    Cons

Blinkered approach to business. Not far reaching in approach or view to the future.
For e.g in the Internet space. The group entered and exited once in the past and has declared that it is not happy with online and will not want to grow aggressively in the space.

Some turf wars. Prima donnas running some verticals model themselves after Meryl Streep in Devil wears Prada.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better managers to lead critical verticals. Long term vision needs to balance with needs for short term profitability.
