Corporate company with big names and no leadership

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Liz Claiborne

ProsGreat connections to various areas of the fashion world. There are many small divisions within the company where people can network and learn more about all fields. There are really supportive programs that allow employees to give back to the community and a library of information to continue learning.

ConsProductivity is hard to accomplish without the right tools. The computer programs used are extremely out of date, and wastes so much time and money. Instead of pushing people to work harder, LC needs to recognize those who have and reward them!

Advice to Senior ManagementMake more investments in technology, promote better communication within divisions.

This company has low pay and treats their employees poorly

Assistant Manager (Current Employee)
Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at Liz Claiborne

ProsThe best thing about working for Lucky Brand is the discount, the employee gets 60% off anything bought themself and 40% something bought as a gift for someone else. If you are an associate working very part time Lucky Brand can be a fun and laid back place to work but don't try to get promoted and certainly don't have the desire to know what is going on in management, you will be disappointed and learn to hate the company

ConsDisresepect to all employees, the pay is not competetive, the upper management is not profesional, constant accusation of things you didnt do so they can try to admitt to something you did do even if you didn't do anything. they would rather hire outsaide the company then promote with in. Constant change in policy and proceedure, they have a low budget so they are constantly cutting hours of employees even if the employee is full time. I would not recomend this company to ANYONE!!!!

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees with respect and reward hard work. If you paid competetively you would have good employees who care and your profit will go and turn over will go down!

Very Positive

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Liz Claiborne

ProsWas always a very stable and growing company with very talented team players. Company always had peaks and valleys, like any other in the fashion industry, but would always rebound.

ConsWith the current Senior Management Team the company has totally lost its footing in the fashion industry and is struggling to stay relevant which is not happening. Stock has plummeted - losing nearly 90% of its value. Management has been making extremely poor businesses decisions.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop hiring celebrity wannabees with enormous salaries who have contributed absolutely nothing to the growth of the company but continue make their TV appearances while doing nothing for Liz Claiborne. If dedicated people were hired who were totally dedicated to Liz Claiborne instead of TV fame, the company would not be in the the shape it is in right now. The once bright light in the fashion industry is barely a flicker!
