I have been working at Loblaw

    Pros

A friendly working environment, fairly flexible hours, and good system of management all contribute to a structured workplace and efficient work pace

    Cons

Some of the more advanced bits of training were set aside, leading to a few instances of delayed assistance for customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Generally, a more thorough training session would be appreciated, though otherwise the working environment seems quite healthy

    I worked at Loblaw

    Pros

10% discount after 6 months, good insurance benefits. Interesting job for whom wants to learn retail management, good training.

    Cons

A lot of floor job (moving pallets, filling shelves more than 70% of the time), react and not plan, no opportunities to develop plans. Very short term focus from the store managers. A lor of overtime not paid (because on salary) till 12 hrs a day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider people turnover to review your store manager. Visit the store without inform the store manager before (people work with huge overtime to be ready for the walk). Speak with managers. Setup plans and give time to develop them.
