    I worked at Loblaw part-time

    Pros

The benefit plan and employee discount.

    Cons

I was shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. The managers, human resources is a joke. I only worked there for two days then quit because I was offered another job. I honestly didn't think it was worth working for loblaws for the amount of work and little pay. I worked the overnight shift. From the very beginning this place was disorganized I had to wait three weeks after my orientation to start training. The reason people apply for a job is because they want to make money. All I heard was a bunch of excuses and gossip which turned me off. I'm looking to work for a professional place.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to actually care about their employees and the work they do. It seemed to me that no one cared about anything which is why the store morale was so low. They need to be organized and stop with the excuses and blaming other people it's very childish. If head office is reading this you definitely need to see what is going on in your stores

    Pros

Benefits are great, stock options and bonus structure are rewarding. Good management team atmosphere. Lots of perks of working at head office.

    Cons

Working as a manager is a union environment is frustrating. Disconnect between store and office is apparent in many facets.

    Advice to Management

Pick a process and see it through to the end. Too many different projects, initiatives, etc on the go at one time. They get 100% for a couple weeks then taper off.
