    Pros

Great co-workers, has the work perks discount program for current employees and their families as well as the 10% in store discount on virtually anything in the store, 10% off for students on Tuesdays.

    Cons

Poor track record when it comes to dealing with people with disabilities in the workplace, the amount of hours to work are not great after Christmas and other major holidays.

    Advice to Management

Encourage to have store training in dealing with people with disabilities in the workplace,

    Pros

Good company to work for if you are in the right team (Corporate IT). Majority of the people are very friendly, but it is a very very busy place to work for. Excellent salary and bonus structure. Chance to meet the CEO in person.

    Cons

Constant Management changes which sometimes affects employees. Due to this very fact, sometimes employees are not happy and are afraid of layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Some of the managers have to have better people skills.

    Pros

You can have a lot of benefit you can actually enjoy. Free hotel, meals and lot of points you can collect for staying in hotel.

    Cons

The job does not fit me well. I don't like what I am doing. The job description does not give a very clean explanation. Furthermore, there are some communication problem in such large company like this.

    Advice to Management

    Improve communication between different department.

    Pros

Co-workers are actually nice, okay environment to work with, you get nice hours, good training

    Cons

Some people are hard to get along with no matter how much you actually want to impress them, before you even get your benefits, they deduct money from your paycheque because of the orientation you did which was very useless really.

    Advice to Management

Just because someone worked for more than 30 years, does not give them the right to treat other employees poorly. Management needs to hear out employees' voices about their department managers and take into consideration if those managers need to be nicer or at least be more approachable when people below them needs to ask something.

    Pros

Most of Loblaw's values as company are great. It includes benefits for employees and customers. The company policies are very clear and mapped to follow and don't get lost. Just follow directions and you will be there for ever.

    Cons

As retail business it demands from you to be available most of the time everybody else enjoys long weekend and holidays. If you are not wiling to give up those day stay where you are or look somewhere else. Most of the time in order to be promoted you have to be an A... k....

    Advice to Management

The best advice would be to start promoting the right qualified people for management positions. A mediocre person will spoil the new management team generations

    Pros

Unionized - insurance for pt, higher wages, and $0.35 increase every 500 hours

First day is stressful but your colleagues will always help you out if they can (you will get the hang of it in a month or two)

    15/30 minute paid for brake

    Cons

Not a lot of hours available (at max you can get 24 hours a week)

You need to wait 6 months before you get employ discount card, which only gives you 10% off from superstore only! You can not get discount from the gas station.

Standing in one place for 8 hours might not be easy

Force you to sell the "Deal of the weak" with no commission or recognition,

30 minute non paid for brake if you work more than 8 hours a day, and no way to avoid it.

    Advice to Management

Make a competition with a prize or somehow promote the sale of the deal of the weak! People respond to incentives! A little child knows that.
