Former Employee – worked at Lodestone full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – - The company is full of experienced people still commited to the job from which you can learn a lot
- Very friendly employees, very good support staff. Small company feel (for how long?).
- good compensation, certainly above the competition. Bonuses can be quite substantial.
- The company is transitioning from a pure bodyshopping model towards a more project-based delivery model. Unlike some competitors, they will not sell you alone at a client.
Cons – - Lack of structures, procedures and communication, leaving you entirely at the mercy of the partner driving your office/engagement. This can translate into partner A selling you for a job in Europe at a random location while partner B still wants you to continue to work on his team at the other side of the continent. And then it's up to you to solve the crisis.
- The company has an MBA sponsorship program, but although they claim to pay 50% of the tuition fee, once you have been admitted and have received the first bill, you find out they only offer to pay 30%. Same consequences as the previous point.
- There's a lot of travel involved, mostly without a decent notice period (you can learn on a Friday evening that you need to be on another continent by Monday morning). Travel is typically 5 days a week, which is tough. Partners will not push clients back to make it easier for you - I've seen people staffed on 2 projects at the same time on 2 different continents!
- 99% of the work remains IT/SAP work. After 3 years, I still can't figure why they named the company 'management consultants'.
- No carreer path. The promotion process is vague and the review process is left entirely up to your manager/coach. Again, lack of structure/procedures leaving critical processes up to the good will of your direct supervisor.
- The company has been taken over by Infosys (!!!). No comment.
Advice to Senior Management – They're not the owners of their company anymore. Good luck.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Lodestone full-time
Pros – Small and friendly, and everyone approachable
Skilled and knowledgeable people
Cons – Limited opportunities to grow as project are small and population very senior, not much interesting roles available .. promotion possibilities seems unreachable..
Been sold to Infosys (!), risk to become more bureaucratic and less friendly
Some senior managament could certainly gain in becoming more sociable
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to employee expectations
Be more visible
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Lodestone
Pros – Flexible small company attitude, very little bureaucracy. Partners are nice people on the whole and do not engage in politics.
Cons – Lacks the support of a bigger organization, can be overstretched. You may find that you have do everything including basic slide work.
Advice to Senior Management – Lodestone could do with more junior staff to take some of the load off senior consultants. Need to communicate more.
