    I worked at LogMeIn

    Pros

Great Technology, internet of things is going to happen

    Cons

none, I loved my time there

I have been working at LogMeIn full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Perks are great and offices are cool, but that is not going to keep you happy in the long run.
    - The CEO is great but the rest of senior management needs to get it to together.
    - They have a great HR and Corporate Image team.

    Cons

    - Insurance is expensive, no 401k matching.
    - Salaries are sub-par compared to their direct competitors.
    - Executive team is just gunning to make The Street happy quarter after quarter.
    - There is no Engineering leadership in Boston, making all decisions driven by marketing, sales or product (that used to be either part of marketing or sales previously).
    - Revolving door for product and sales teams. Marketing too but at least that has been getting better. Ask me in three months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

MKS needs to revamp his leadership team. We need a new Executive team that will make bold risks and stick to them. We need product teams that understand the engineering behind the product. We need long-term vision instead of having everything decided just to meet our quarterly numbers.

I have been working at LogMeIn

    Pros

    Nice office
    Free snacks and beverages
    Company trips annually
    Plenty of collaboration space/conference rooms

    Cons

Teams are silo'd off per floor for the most part.
South Boston location makes it hard for north shore and north-of-Boston commuters
Management tends to have tunnel vision, not good for fostering innovation outside R&D teams dedicated to doing that innovation.
Semi-annual reviews seem to be an after-thought, nothing really happens with them unless there are negative points to "work on".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on employee strengths and exploit those, not coaching on weaknesses.
Provide more cross-team opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and socialize beyond the obligatory monthly meetings.
Do a better job on advertising internal career opportunities before soliciting outside recruiting and hiring.

I worked at LogMeIn as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Great people, fun environment, great location just next to South Station

    Cons

Contract work, never would give straight answers on possibility to work there full time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set a guideline to become full time if continuing down road of temp to perm work, will motivate workers better.

    Pros

If you live for your breaks this is the place to work. Fooseball tables, pool tables, free snacks and soda. Thats about all you will get out of the glamorized call center.

    Cons

Sitting through the week long training session where you watch them go over their software. This is the most boring process ever. Don't waste your time.

I have been working at LogMeIn full-time

    Pros

The new office space and location in Boston is great. Company offers free lunches once a month, offer up some beers late on Friday, and snacks / drinks galore. They also try to give back to the community with different charitable events.

    Cons

Senior leadership is more focused on short term quarterly results than the long term results. Decisions take too long to make, even within a given team. Culture is changing for the negative with lots of new outsiders coming in. Company has too many layers and VPs, slowing things down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove layers in the organization, do a better job of recognizing employees, provide training and growth opportunities.
