    Pros

Had a great time working with friends. Great managers in the beginning.

    Cons

Time off policies were hard to understand, the manager turnover is terrible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

consider more training opportunities and ways to keep managers at the same store for a longer period of time

I have been working at Logan's Roadhouse part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The training is very laid back, you discuss a packet of things and get a tour on our first day. At the end of each day, 5 days total, you get a free meal which is great so you can recommend meals to guests if you need to. Employee discounts are 50% on all food and drinks are free whether or not you work that day. Logan's is also VERY flexible to your schedule where as you could only work a day or two one week then everyday the next. The food is great and I love almost everyone in the building

    Cons

When things get crowded or a rush hits, politeness may go away from time to time or if you are closing, when the time comes, some people begin to slack on their duties

    Pros

I love the laid-back aspect of the restaurant, friendly staff, discount on food

    Cons

the menu is 70+ items & always changing. Schedules change without being notified. Too many servers on the floor to make money. No sense of urgency from kitchen staff or managers. Claim dinner tickets run 10-15 minutes but food takes 20+ minutes to come out when it shouldn't take that long & managers don't rush to your table to satisfy the customer. Clientele is cheap & leaves $3 on a $60+ check. Servers often walk out of work with only $20! They don't put much effort into training servers. They didn't have any server manuals when i got hired & the server manual is loooong! I honestly don't understand the minimum wage/tip credit/drop method they use, it seems like I'm being ripped off. I don't imagine I'll be here long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop changing the menu so much & get rid of several items so that you don't confuse the customers & servers. Stop having so many people on the floor when there is no need due to slow business. Use the HotSchedules app to make it easier to swap shifts. Have a sense of urgency so customers don't leave disgruntled. There needs to be a complete overhaul from the ground up.

I worked at Logan's Roadhouse full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It was a fun environment to work in. The staff and mangers are very organized and professional. I enjoyed this job.

    Cons

Scheduling shifts, tips ( Logan's has a lot of special deals and BOGO's therefore people do not tip adequately for their experience).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I feel the servers should get paid more due to everything else they have to do other than just serving. $2.13 an hour kind of stinks. Also, personal relationships with staff members/servers should be avoided by management.

    Pros

    simple job, with decent pay.

    Cons

if you care about doing the right thing, this will beat it out of you. you can work as hard as you want to, but the more of the right thing you do, the less others do. they don't care, they get paid the same to stand around as work hard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    health code enforcement.

I have been working at Logan's Roadhouse full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    they work with your schedule
they allow you to work different positions with in the restaurant
most of the staff is friendly and helpful
any meal $12 and under gets halfed off (you will get written up/fired for taking an employee meal home)

    Cons

servers get a weeks worth of training (9am-1ish pm) on the menu but a day of shadowing so they are put on the floor with barley any floor training and aren't taught how to work computer or do simple tasks and side work.
in my experience most the managers/keys were wonderful but the general manager was an inconsiderate bipolar jerk with a bad temper. (cursed our server in front of guests but is still employed)
hosts are poorly trained and thrown into the job
there is clear favoritism with servers that have been there for a while
morning staff isn't checked off for side work while night shift is kept up to an hour after closing until entire store meets standards

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone should have the same rules.
