    Pros

Good hours. The staff is always young/professional. The kitchen is not as stressful as others, depending on the GM.
The people make the job there.

    Cons

Some Specials they do for marketing made your tips a little lower than normal. Sweeping Peanuts and peanut dust gets tiring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Time off should be laid out for employee. Calling in sick should not be tolerated.

    Pros

Really enjoyed the people I worked with (actually met my wife there). There were opportunities to move up. When I moved, Logan's allowed my wife and myself to transfer to another restaurant.

    Cons

It is a corporate environment, which not everyone likes. Everything is structured and has some sort of protocol. This includes management often wanting to comp meals very quickly to solve problems, which as a server, reductions in the check amount rarely amount to a larger tip.

    Pros

You generally make decent money on weekends and the Lubbock store's management was great

    Cons

Waiting tables generally means long hours and Logan's has little opportunity for advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Add more flexible shifts

    Pros

    Management, Schedule flexibility, work environment

    Cons

Some of the customers, pay is different every day (tips are your money)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the hosts hourly and don't tip them out. They don't do enough to help us. Also, we need nametags.

    Pros

Great place to work if you are going through college or in between jobs as a server. If you are in a well managed store you can benefit from the organized training programs, medical and dental if needed and sales incentives. I once paid my monthly car payment in just the money I won in contests just from doing my job! Corporate really listens to suggestions and looks to employees for ideas on improving.

    Cons

If you are in a poorly managed store you are doomed. Unfair treatment and chaos in all aspects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trim the fat in the failing stores...quickly!

    Pros

Consistent management values, decent product to sell. Consistent business and traffic in the restaurant so it's predictable.

    Cons

Discount steakhouse doesn't exactly attract the best of clientele. The bar itself needs remodeling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cheaper is not always better. Ask TGI Fridays.

    Pros

The main reason why I kept this job for so long was because of the money. My co-workers and 1 of my managers.

    Cons

training is terrible when it comes to training a server, as for the kitchen isn't bad as long as you have a great teacher. The managers are beyond useless. Besides them not taking care of their employees that have been threaten over bread, had a gun to their head(yes this really happened), all the managers do is use you to cover their own butts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire the whole team and start new

    Pros

Super relaxed work environment, and nice co-workers. Easy to take anywhere from $50 to &100 a night.

    Cons

They do not respect your scheduled. They give you crazy hours, and if you're there after 11 which you always are if you work the night shift they clock you out early even though you'll be there until 1 am. (Two hours of work not paid for)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't clock people out early, every dollar does count, and respect people when they tell you they can't work that day because of Church.

    Pros

Effort to be fun and have a good time at the corporate office.

    Cons

Lack of direction and too many guesses at what the company should try to increase sales.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down the number of changes until everyone can get a better idea of any new direction or projects.
