Logic PD Reviews

Pros – The management at Logic is very friendly and personable. They will generally leave you to do your job and seldom micromanage, but they can and will direct projects as needed to meet project deadlines. The work force is very diverse, almost like working in Silicon Valley with many workers coming from overseas, mainly Asia. The management does not pretend to know everything, and they regularly review suggestions from employees on ways to increase productivity. You can be unofficially promoted to a job of higher responsibility, but don't expect to see it on your paycheck or job title. The company does provide a 401k package and medical insurance benefits, but not many perks beyond that.
Cons – One of the downsides of working for Logic is the relatively low pay compared to similar employers and the working hours. For the 1st shift you are expected to report to work at 5:30 in the morning and work until 3:00 p.m or later. While the long hours are acceptable, the early times to rise can really wear you down after awhile. In addition to that, the work is unsteady. Some days you have mountains of work and on others just a trickle. Besides the need to balance and coordinate your workload, you are expected to document all your projects and their times for each typical day. It is a hassle on the days when you have multiple projects are they all due, just one more thing.
Advice to Senior Management – Management should provide more visibility into their decision making process. Sometimes decisions come down that don't really make sense. Such as requiring all employees on the factory floor to wear safety glasses, when many jobs on the floor don't need them since they are in no way dangerous.
Pros – Opportunity to work on leading edge technology and interesting projects without getting stale by doing the same thing over and over again.
Very good culture and people who take work/life balance very seriously and make the work environment fun and invigorating.
Cons – A few global product strategies that have backfired eating into earnings.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on the strengths (SOM, Services) and stop trying to make the company something it isn't able to succeed in.
