I have been working at LogistiCare as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

It's EXTREMELY easy. The job is literally doing /answering the same questions over and over again. It's convenient to get to as well.

    Cons

Employees like to try to get other employees in trouble - it's best to keep to yourself. Everyone here makes EXTREMELY low salaries (How can you work somewhere for 7 yrs and only make 13$ an hr?!?!), which I think contributes to there negative attitudes. Also once the 2 weeks of training are over your pretty much on your own, figuring out the correct answers yourself. This is more so an in-between job or a starter job, I got out as SOON as I could. Its good for people in college or just out of college or just to pay the bills if your college educated but in between jobs, but it's not a long term career for anyone actually educated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overtime should be open to EVERYONE, not just the managers and leads favorites.

I have been working at LogistiCare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you smile and nod your head through the myriad of pointless meetings and constant rule changes and lies told by management, you may be able to survive.

    Cons

No one in management has any idea what their employees do. They make arbitrary decisions and promises, none of which are followed through. Their management style is "rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic." There is no chance for advancement or personal growth. Any initiative is shot down or credit is stolen by management. All management cares about is getting their secret bonuses they think hourly employees do not know about. The hiring is strictly race based where management is concerned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop with the time wasting meetings. Stop telling employees about your $8000 patio furniture and $400 purses when employees need public assistance to survive. Stop making promises you have no intention of keeping. We know you are completely oblivious about what your employees do all day. Leave the deck chairs alone and get off the ship. The previous director and manager were great to work with; current management is clueless. We all get the Google Alerts about the poor financial condition of the company. Stop pretending that CA business will "save" you.

I worked at LogistiCare as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

The idea of the company in providing service for non-emergency transportation is great.

    Cons

The work environment is run like a prison camp

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Calm down and give employees some personal freedom. No one should be punished for being 5 minutes late to work. Also remember it's a call center, why are managers allowed to scream their lungs out ?

    Pros

Great benefits with interesting employers to work with. Company is close in proximity to down town and which makes it easy to get involved in local events in Austin.

    Cons

The clients we deal with can be overbearing. Time constraints with each client we help can be better helped with more resources. The company location isn't near and close places to get lunch.
