    Pros

Enjoyable place to work depending on department. I love my team and the daily work.

    Cons

Salaries are low compared to Boston-based companies. Career advancement can be hard depending on department. People stay with the company long-term which can make it hard to move up and often they'll bring outside people in to fill higher level positions instead of promoting from within.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and you will make your employees even happier. The benefits are terrific so keep those.

  2. Very little room for growth in an unprofessional environment.

    Pros

They have a very thorough training program that aims to train based on strict adherence to SOPs and cGMPs in all aspects of the job. It is fairly easy to get the time off that you need and some supervisors are willing to listen to what the manufacturing associates have to say, although this is often not translated into actual change.

    Cons

Extremely unprofessional work environment. Poor employee morale and distrust in management seen throughout manufacturing. Many people are looking to leave the company. Very little career growth is possible and areas are often understaffed and lacking appropriate equipment/supplies. Employees are shuffled around like cattle with little say in the matter themselves.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that all areas of manufacturing are staffed with people who are knowledgeable in that particular area. Stop moving employees around and create a standard for promotion that is clear for everyone and followed accordingly.

    Pros

    They have a nice cafeteria.

    Cons

High security, intense no-room-to learn training - fly or die, little care or worry for individual - only care about the work and not financial losses due to error, you are a number not and individual, no room for creativity or personality, no respect for employees.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people not as a liability. Stop making everyone feel as if job security is a luxury, you are not god.

    Pros

Upper management was very open and communicative regarding the over all company strategy and vision. Decisions seemed to have been made for good reason. The medical, dental, and vision care benefits were very good. Annual bonus plan was pretty fairly executed.

    Cons

Office culture was off base in that while trying to treat everyone the same, management neglected the fact that different jobs required different resources (like a quiet workspace for example). Career development was low priority. There was very little sense of ownership for projects, no going the extra mile, just only doing what the customer asked and paid for and nothing more, even if it would add value to the process. People working on manufacturing and testing drug products didn't even take time to know what the drugs were meant to treat. Too many promises made by contract managers without verifying adequate resources to fulfill.

    Pros

The benefits are really good - 401K, medical, tuition reimbursement. Convenient location. Safety is valued and training is important and detailed. Emphasis is placed on new ideas.

    Cons

Poor management and no support from HR. No communication to employees. Compensation could be better for the ever increasing level of output required for each position. There is not much room for growth in some departments.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee's opinions. This could be the key to keeping good people with the company.
