    Pros

Good benefits. Direct manager had a good work-life balance, but it could be different, depending on which group and what the timelines are.

    Cons

Not forthright communications with staff on upcoming changes. Need more communications from senior management.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with employees. Major decision changes would be more welcomed if employees felt part of the process, even at a minimum.

I worked at Lonza Biologics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Company to work for. Very clear goals to work toward your next promotion. Company has great benefits and will work with employees to try new positions to find what suits them.

    Cons

None come to mind, other than things can be stressful in an FDA regulated environment. If you are looking at this, then you are probably already expecting that though.

    Advice to Management

The management I had the opportunity to work with did a great job balancing business vs. employee concerns, and that's what managers do.

I worked at Lonza Biologics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good management to allow you to lead and work with your team. Pretty good information flow and coordination with upper management, Pay is good, also there is a good process for advancing hourly personnel.

    Cons

Sometimes there are too many contractors especially in the QA area. They do not have the buy in as a team and did not really seem to care how to help in the long term. They sometimes were confrontational.

    Advice to Management

    Keep empowering Sups and Managers.

    Pros

Enjoyable place to work depending on department. I love my team and the daily work.

    Cons

Salaries are low compared to Boston-based companies. Career advancement can be hard depending on department. People stay with the company long-term which can make it hard to move up and often they'll bring outside people in to fill higher level positions instead of promoting from within.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and you will make your employees even happier. The benefits are terrific so keep those.
