Armored Driver/Guard (Current Employee)
Detroit, MI

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than a year

ProsThe management team is awesome. Employees are all very welcoming. You carry a gun of your choice. lots of overtime. training was very fun. You get to see a lot of cities in one day.

ConsYou have to drive to Highland park ;(

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you are doing. They bought us lunch everyday of training. Really nice and informative training plan.

Driver/Messenger

Armored Driver/Guard/Messenger (Former Employee)
Riverside, MO

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than a year

ProsI wouldn't give this company any Pros, except they are quick to hire ANYONE.

ConsBad pay, Bad raises (1% a year), bay employers, bad co-workers, bad environment. No one cares about each other, including management. Want to file a complaint or harassment.. it'll just stay "under investigation" and that's as far as that will go. All they care about is their money, not yours. Cap pay is $15/hr. They don't care about your personal well-being in bad weather, family deaths (made it a big deal when I had to attend a funeral and had to ask for someone to cover my shift). Not enough employees because no one wants to stay, so good luck getting vacation, vacation you don't "earn" until after two years. Transportation gets the bad end of the stick from other departments. Want a job... find somewhere else. This is NOT the company to work for. They don't care about you

Good for anyone desperate for a job... Not good for most people wanting to get anywhere in their careers

Cash Teller (Former Employee)
Tempe, AZ

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

ProsSolid benefits package, good entry-level job, pretty stable job in that you didn't get fired unless you stole money or failed drug testing

ConsVery few if any room for advancement, low income for the type of work, bad attitudes all over the workplace, black out days so you could never go anywhere for Christmas

Advice to Senior ManagementDear Upper Management,

If a good number of your employees are leaving or are threatening to leave because they are constantly treated badly by another employee or superior, do something about it! Don't risk letting all your other good employees go, at the expense of this one that makes their job a living nightmare!

Please pay us more! My hourly pay only went up a dollar in 4 years!

Remember that we have families and lives outside of work. Please don't make us work overtime so much. If there is too much work, hire more people. Furthermore, it's really stinky that tellers have black-out days between December 15th - January 15th, since we can never travel anywhere for Christmas.

Good place to work, learn, and grow, but little room for advancement.

Computer Technical Support (Former Employee)
Houston, TX

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. as a contractor for more than a year

ProsI had lots of hands-on opportunities to learn. It was a friendly teamwork environment. Helpnwas readily available. Hours were flexible.

ConsThere is a strong emphasis on you-must-produce, strong emphasis on statistical numbers, not all tools all available

Advice to Senior ManagementI'd suggest to give more concrete weekly goals as needed when requested

Never felt so unappreciated at a job and no room for growth.

Armed Service Tech (Current Employee)

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than 5 years

ProsWomen like a man who wears a uniform and carries a gun.
Lifting coin is a great workout.
You learn the area that you work inside and out.

ConsYou'll never be appreciated regardless of how hard you work.
Long hours, never know when you'll get out of work.
Management is typically given to seniority rather than who deserves it.
The job is dangerous. Always have to watch your back. Good people killed while protecting someone else's money.
Pay is horrible.
Good luck getting time off to interview elsewhere.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake tips from the people doing the job. Quit making policies that slow us down and then expect us to go faster.

Armed Service Tech (Current Employee)
Tampa, FL

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than 5 years

Prosok company because there's work to do

Conscompany doesn't care about the employees and you will see it in day one guarantee, be prepared, one example of many... poor poor training and you will have to do the job by your own!!

Advice to Senior Managementshame that other companies with less risk and minimum pay ARE better than this company

Just a terrible experience

CMS/Teller (Former Employee)
Knoxville, TN

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for less than a year

ProsWorking closely with people you really like and care about.

ConsMANAGEMENT.
Terrible about explaining what they expect from you up front.
Micro Managing to the fullest.
Unexpected excessive overtime.(you are told "occasional" overtime' turns out much more than "occasional
Don't care about you family or home life.
Expected to stay until everything has been balanced no matter how late; and even if it is by the time you're SUPPOSED to get off you're still guilt tripped into staying even later.
If you're having a hard time financially and it comes time for you to have a gun and you tell them you can't afford it; it doesn't matter they'll fire you anyway.
Huge turn over rate due to such ridiculous strict rules.

Advice to Senior ManagementMakes sure hiring managers are informing Interviewee's the exact requirements of the job; not just sugar coating things knowing their experience is worth semi lying to get them trapped there.
Get organized.
Care about your employees; that might be a big reason for such a big turnover?
Nobody is perfect can we just please realize this one certain fact? I realize your business is based on perfection, but being logical is going to make you more money. People are in fact HUMAN believe it or not.
