    Pros

The people are great departent heads ad HR were very nice

    Cons

Dress code is aove and beyond required nice dress or pants suite speciied 3 piece buisiness formal. Unless you have more than a couple of outfits like that you'll be looking for more

    Advice to Management

HR is great. Department Heads stress comes from constant turnover. Look at the store. Most people are a little turned off by a store with outdated furnishings. Look to repalce any energy saving devices you can. LIght bulbs, etc.

    Pros

Treat employees well, always having contests and parties to increase employee morale, if you establish a good relationship with management they will help you grow within the company

    Cons

Sometimes policies are unclear and different managers will give you different instructions, really I enjoyed working here and would recommend it to anyone

    Advice to Management

Continue to offer credit contests and bonuses, affirm policies as a group before different managers give different instruction it can become very confusing.

    Pros

It's is a nice and friendly environment. You get to dress up and look nice and be conservatively stylish

    Cons

There are only two good times to work when you really make money. The commission is a hassle and opening credit

    Pros

Nice team to work with. Company has a policy of appreciation if you are a good worker. They regularly come up with incentives if you perform well.

    Cons

Management is not sensitive to work pressures faced by employees. Sales staff is pushed hard to meet their goals and this can lead to stress over time. Counter managers compete with sales staff for revenue creating tension between employees

    Advice to Management

Counter managers should not be allowed to change schedules for their own benefit. Management should get sales staffs input to better manage counter staff.

    Pros

Good company perks such as discounts, and a few company sponsored social events. It's good for entry-level employment, I wouldn't recommend long term unless you are in higher management.

    Cons

The formation of HBC Digital created tons of confusion throughout the company. In fact, its not even listen on glassdoor so i had to choose Lord & Taylor. Each digital department across banners were confused about what their job titles were, the security of their job/department moving forward, and what benefits they were allowed to partake in. Leadership was always very vague, and showed a disregard for employee concern, often making jokes about it. It is an extremely messy situation and will take some time to smooth out, if ever.

    Advice to Management

Be extremely clear about what the plans are, and what employees can expect so that they can plan their careers.
