    Pros

    The pay is good and you have a secure job.

    Cons

    Management is corrupt, the make up their own rules as the go along as they see fit. Burn out employer.

    Advice to Management

    Follow the rules and regulations that you are supposed to be bound by. Treat employees right and you will get more work done.

    Pros

    Laid back environment (depending on supervisor/department)

    Cons

    Boring. Not much work to do. (Those two apply to Most departments) Management isn't very engaging (depends on department/bureau)

    Advice to Management

    Be more engaging. Show an ounce of passion--it'll go a long way.

    I worked at Los Angeles part-time

    The work atmosphere was enjoyable and the people who worked in the same office were quite nice and knowledgable.

    Cons

    The hours were odd. Being part time comes with selective hours, but there never seemed to be enough, even though work was needed to be done.

    City of Los Angeles is a great place to work. It offers security and opportunities for advancement.

    Only locations are in Downtown LA, LAX, or San Pedro
