I worked at Lotus Development full-time for more than 5 years
Pros – Open to new ideas, quick development iterations, very cool people who were clearly geared toward moving the company forward, flexible work/life and work from home attitude meant they got the most from most of us
Cons – IBM had a few too many hurdles to jump for standard development decisions, the pricing committee was something I could have lived without.
Advice to Senior Management – Loosen up to speed up
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Lotus Development
Pros – Great team spirit, great people (the best I have ever worked with)
People want to do a good job and it shows, they belive in theirproducts and want others to use them - many are evangelists for Lotus
'Use what we sell, sell what we use' very prevalent
Cons – No chance of any acreer progression unless you're in Sales or Management
Techies are woefully undervalued
IBM has strangled Lotus - they still don't understand what they bought
Advice to Senior Management – Techies make the product that you want to sell and support the customers who buy it. VALUE THEM!
Get IBM out of Lotis' hair
Understand just what great products you've got and sell them
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
