As a delivery driver, working here was pretty "chill" and a good opportunity make some extra cash.

I have been working at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Free employee meal when working.
50% off at any Lou Malnati's location (if order is under $50) and 20% off (if order is over $50).
For delivery drivers: $5/hour + ~$2/delivery + TIPS; don't have to put up a sign on top of your car like the other pizza places.
For carry-out store workers: shifts are short since carry-out stores open at 4PM.
    Shifts are consistent.

    Cons

Free employee meal can lead to gaining extra weight.
On the weekends, there can be too many drivers (<6 deliveries is bad; 6-9 is OK; >10 is good).
Going on deliveries can take a toll on your car (a lot of short distance driving; constantly turning the engine on/off; not good for cars that have bad gas mileage; potential to get into accidents).

I have been working at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria part-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get paid a base salary and get to keep all of your tips, managers let you do your own thing most of the time and don't ask for more than their sub-minimum base pay justifies.

    Cons

Sometimes delivery reimbursement doesn't feel sufficient when gas prices fluctuate or weather is bad, both ending with heightened fuel consumption. You give up the most "social" times of your week for the opportunity to make the most money, i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep an eye on gas prices and weather, adjust reimbursement on a daily basis instead of waiting for gas to rise past $4.00. Because when gas is $3.98, it still hurts us!

I have been working at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

I've been with the company for almost 10 years and I've held 4 different positions. Each position was a step up and in the right direction. There has always been room for growth and the company's management works very hard to facilitate the personal and professional growth of any motivated employee.

    Cons

Managers and coworkers can be a little sensitive and then turn around and become just as abrasive. Then again, this can happen anywhere. Compensation could be better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't discuss conflicts or issues in public or where your employees may hear you.

I worked at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Staff gets along pretty well. Generous employee discounts on meals inside the restaurant and on carry-out. Friendly staff. High level of team effort.

    Cons

It is difficult to keep your job if you are not close to anyone that makes any kind of decisions. Management strives more for profit than taking consideration of the needs of their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cater more to the needs of the employees. Try not to make decision right over their heads when they are doing the best job they can.
