Middle-aged white males do well here.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsOpportunity to work with a few good people. Work in a very diverse environment with multiple product lines.

ConsPoor management with little training offered to management team. If you are middle-aged white male or even young white male, you will go far. Others, forget it. Opportunity for advancement is almost non-existent. Long hours with no monetary gain.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the time to actually meet the employees, quit hiding in an office behind a shut door! Show your appreciation and visit ALL offices and actually talk to the employees, not just the chosen few.

    Lack of Communication

Senior Accountant Non Manager (Former Employee)
    Wilton, CT

ProsDecent benefits, good co-workers, opportunities for younger employees

ConsLong hours are expected and need to be shown, lack of communication from management. Too many broken processes and the accountability falls on the employee. Corporate management believes that lower employee is responsible for managing then and making sure they are aware of everything. Salaries are average to low end

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn that employees can be replace at anytime but there is no need to tell then constantly of that.

Lots of opportunities & challenges to take, but poor people management for a group of that size and complexity

    Execution Manager (Current Employee)
    Geneva (Switzerland)

ProsProfitable, international group well positioned on a fast growing business segment. Entrepreneurial spirit, lean management structure, fast decision making process. Excellent environment for traders.

ConsMostly dominated by leaders lacking vision, being poor communicators & perfectible people managers. Poor compensation system which lacks transparency and is below competition for support function staff in view of the pressure and working hours required.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in people, talent and leadership development instead of only putting pressure on staff and costs. Promote transparent communication instead of a culture of secret. Take the risk to become a best in class company, with transparent processes, clear career path and a comprehensive strategy that each can adhere to instead of promoting only the self made man stereotype of successful traders. Not all your employees want to be or need to be one.

    Good company to be in.

    Execution Officer (Current Employee)
    Geneva (Switzerland)

ProsIt constantly changes and evolves, there are good opportunities here for people that want to make a career, the management is approachable and the environment of work is really good

ConsHR team is very slow and difficult to work with; they have a new team so hopefully it will change

Advice to Senior ManagementWhen it comes to times when you have to take important decision about processes the your employees should be doing, I believe is a good policy to ask your employees opinion, sometimes the great ideas that you may have in meetings just create double work for everyone involve and is not the most efficient solution. Ask to the people that know, that is why you paid them for.
