I have been working at Louisiana Delta Community College full-time

    Pros

Fellow staff are friendly and make an effort to make you feel welcomed. Flexible about the hours worked.

    Cons

No professional development, even if it is in your grant. Need 15 students to make a class. Tuition is high with little financial support for students. Will be told in the 11th hour if your class makes and you have a position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Registration needs to close at least a week before classes start. Negotiate salaries with staff to ensure flexibility about the number of students needed to make a class. When offering positions be realistic about salaries.
