Pros

Friendly, laid back culture. Most everyone in the company has a can do attitude. IT group's small size means that there means that there is an opportunity to make a real impact.

Cons

Senior management and the rest of the company doesn't place a high value on technology and IT. IT group as a whole is under resourced and over burdened. Salaries are below industry average.

Advice to Senior Management

Learn to view technology as a competitive advantage versus just a cost center.

Pros

LP was a good place to work and learn new skills. It is a large corporation with small corporate feel. The people are amazing there and loved working with everyone.

Cons

Instability is the largest issue with LP, as is the case with a lot of places. I hope they keep finding success.

Advice to Senior Management

My advice would be to keep your employees apprised of the companies situation. That was my biggest issue. I was continually told we were doing fine and then one day a bunch of us were let go.
