    Pros

Tech is a great public university located in quaint Ruston, Louisiana. My experience as a worker has been wonderful. I have learned many organizational skills that will help me in my future ventures.

    Cons

The pay for an assistantship is pretty limited but they are unable to pay more due to the vast amount of assistants employed.

I worked at Louisiana Tech University part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunities to meet coaches and staff as well as be apart of tech athletics. Everyone is very close and knows each other by name. Great understanding of student comes first attitude and are willing to be there for you when you need them if you are there for them when they need you.

    Cons

Not really any cons besides when there is nothing to do and you're just waiting around for something to happen. Can get boring when sports are out of season, and busy when basketball season is going.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to do great work!

    Pros

As a graduate student, studying/working balance was a big issue. The department leadership was always encouraging and accommodating. I learned a lot while I was there both as a student and as a GA.

    Cons

Tech's email system was annoying. The university allowed way too many departments and groups to send out university wide announcements.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at Louisiana Tech University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The student worker jobs at Tech have flexible schedules, are non-stressful, are catered to student's needs. The pay is good when compared to other no-experience/no-education-required positions.

    Cons

Some will say that they dislike having to work during the quarter breaks, but for many this is merely an opportunity to work longer hours and make more money.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. Keep the wellbeing of the students in mind, because we are here to get a degree, not work.
