    Pros

A great group of people to work with, I truly enjoy going to work every day. There is a true sense of helping each other, across departments and branches. Good PTO and excellent hours.

    Cons

Salary is on the low side and insurance benefits are horrible. Company was just sold so there is an air of uncertainty and gloom.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue transparency and make sure every one gets taken care of. Remember who got you here.

I have been working at Loving Care Agency

    Pros

Working independently. If monetary compensation isn't what you are looking for then this is the place to work! Most of the families are in great need of nursing services and are very greatful to have the help.

    Cons

Little to no communication between office and field staff, even if a shift has been cancelled! Low wages, deceitful to get you in the door then things start to "come up" after they think they have you. Field staff foot the bill for mailing in paperwork to office (you don't get paid until the office receives the paperwork for each individual shift). Little to no incentive offered to pick up extra shifts but you are almost expected to do so, their idea of a "raise" is for you to pick up overtime...but said overtime needs to be mailed into office where I have never seen overtime payments come out of. Will only pay RN's $10/hour for orientation. No compensation for milage. Expect nurses to work with very medically fragile children by yourself in a home for around $20.00 an hour. Not their nursing licese on the line is it? Changes such as orders or med sheet corrections do not seem to be a high priority for the office to correct so you are continually correcting the same things over and over. Very high insurance premiums. No new technology...all paper charting. Should I go on?

I worked at Loving Care Agency

    Pros

The pay was good for office staff. I can't think of anything else.

    Cons

You get used to one clinical manager and then they are gone. One branch director and then they are gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Turnover in staff costs you money. Try to hold on to employees.

I have been working at Loving Care Agency full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

After holding several nursing jobs I found true contentment when I started working at Loving Care Agency. If you love pediatrics and helping the disabled then this is the job for you! I don't think it is stressful at all compared to working in long term care or fast paced medical offices. The agency trains you and makes sure you are 100% ready to take on your case. They are a big agency so you don't have to worry about not being able to find work in home healthcare. This company has grown and they are everywhere - with a very strong presence in PA. I love you, Loving Care! :)

    Cons

The only con is the same across all borders of home healthcare. Patient's insurance companies will fight against paying for nurses and you may find yourself temporarily out of work if they succeed. It is the risk you have to take working in home healthcare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't change a thing you're fantastic.

    Pros

Many talented people who care about the mission work at LCA.

    Cons

Shifting senior management meant that layoffs and fear were both in the air.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a course and stick to it. Consistently hiring C-level staff who live out of state doesn't help.

I worked at Loving Care Agency full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Not so much for money, however you learn more, many different projects, collections.

    Cons

401 K plan has no mach, health insurance is very expansive, no promotions within departments, one thing is good it is the hours, 9:00 to 5:00 and weekends off for corporate office staff, nurses and CHHA have different schedule,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

why not to offer different department ore different office job to workers who you want to be fired or laid off,
sometime it saves you more money than you think.

    Pros

Benefits which are affordible and the PTO. Most of the cases are awesome.

    Cons

Management always on a power trip and find that the office staff are puppets. Of you agree with company's policy you will be fine but if not look elsewhere very vindictive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your field nurses and most of all show us respect.
