    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Lowe's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

More relaxed work environment, not a tremendous amount of micro-management. ASMs are easy to work with. Pretty good benefits compared to other big box corporate retailers, but the health insurance offered is laughable

    Cons

If your store sales go down, so do your scheduled hours. If they have to cut every part timer to 10 hours a week and every "full" timer to 25 hours a week, they'll do it. Understaffed in all departments.

    Advice to Management

Why do your employees have to take an hour/pay cut due to loss of sales, but our CEO gets to continue "earning" over $10 million every year?

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive Salary, Great benefits, rotating set schedule, guaranteed one weekend off per month

    Cons

The way they treat their employees and managers. The workload is too much as a manager. They have double standards in almost all scenarios. They try to implement too much change too soon and are way behind other retailers.

    Advice to Management

This is for District Level and above: Stop treating salaried managers like peons. Also, be a human being and get to know your ASM's and Store Managers. Add positive feedback as well as areas of opportunities.
