    Pros

flexible hours, good company employee relations

    Cons

limited hours, too much investment in Top Stock= dead stock, money tied up. Some items out for weeks, other had a 3 years supply. Better Inventory Management, (my specialty )

    Advice to Management

staff all departments whenever store is open with at least one associate. Lost sales when no one in department.

    Pros

Competitive Salary, Great benefits, rotating set schedule, guaranteed one weekend off per month

    Cons

The way they treat their employees and managers. The workload is too much as a manager. They have double standards in almost all scenarios. They try to implement too much change too soon and are way behind other retailers.

    Advice to Management

This is for District Level and above: Stop treating salaried managers like peons. Also, be a human being and get to know your ASM's and Store Managers. Add positive feedback as well as areas of opportunities.

    Pros

Great work environment. Knowledgeable management. My co-workers were all very friendly. They provided a generous lunch and break schedule.

    Cons

Pay was meager. Unless you were a manager and on a salary, there wasn't much of an opportunity to advance up the hourly pay rate.

    Advice to Management

Provide more training. Provide a better pay scale for those uninterested in a management track.

    Pros

Work is mainly indoors and out of the elements, pay has been very competitive and more than fair. Ability to move up through the employee ranks has been encouraged.

    Cons

The always changing work hours is a definite negative. Dealing with verbally abusive customers.Struggling to meet sales goals is stressful .

    Advice to Management

The ability to train lower level people more through classes, even optional classes would be a great asset for employees. It is so hard to train someone while at the same time assisting customers and dealing with daily goals for the store.

    Pros

You are able to work around your school schedule.

    Cons

A lot can be demanded with no incentive to get things done. Lowe's is so focused on customer service and sales that they lose appreciation for their employees. You will be told to sell while also keeping the department in shape. Management is good for the most part. Where I work the store manager is a pain, but assistant store managers are helpful for the most part they care. Customers are the same as any other retail establishment. You will deal with some great customers and some really bad customers. Lowe’s offers little to no training for new employees or current employees. If your coworkers are nice and knowledgeable you may learn about your department within a few weeks.

    Pros

I like the team I work with. The company atmoshphere is fairly laid-back and if you are willing to work hard and relocate, you can find some really great opportunities.

    Cons

Working the Corporate created schedule can be irritating sometimes. The corporate office is always changing rules or creating new ones

    Advice to Management

Stay consistant in how you manage. Things that were wrong yesterday needs to be wrong today.
