Former Employee – worked at Lowe's full-time for more than a year
Pros – Friendly coworkers
Passionate employees
Great management team
High quality customers
Good products
Knowledgeable staff
Opportunity for growth
Ample compensation for work done
Potential for bonuses
Cons – Seasonal drops in business
Must be very knowledgeable about products in order to succeed
Lots of additional promotions to remember and present to customers
Advice to Senior Management – Sometimes the store has a little too much going on at once, not only for the employees to remember, but for the customers to take in. It may be helpful to limit your promotions/events to only so many per week to prevent everyone from being overwhelmed.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's full-time for less than a year
Pros – Variety, alot of activity and customer interactions. Benefit packages are quite good.
Cons – Currently understaffed during a very busy time of the year.
Advice to Senior Management – Better starting pay would attract additional employees to make up for staffing shortages. Better pay would also attract additional talent that have the skills to interact socially with the customers while meeting other demands throughout the store.

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great people; benefits; bonus opportunities
Cons – hours are not life style friendly; only certain jobs are allowed to have steady hours and those jobs are dead end jobs. You cannot have a life outside of Lowe's and schedules are not posted in a timely manner.
Advice to Senior Management – I think that store level employees need to have steady shifts especially since there are no longer any spiffs. People call off a lot because of this. It is difficult to get child care and the scheduling practice of "Clopens" is ridiculous

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Lowe's has great benefits for associates. Many changes have occurred over the last several years and the company continues to change on its road to the future.
Cons – It is difficult to transition to positions in other areas of the company from Loss Prevention even with prior experience and training.

Former Employee – worked at Lowe's full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – starts out at a pretty decent entry level pay. offers benefits. opportunity to advance
Cons – inconsistent work schedules. you never knew what time or hours you would work from week to week
Advice to Senior Management – provide some stability in schedule to your full time employees. don't schedule full time employees around the availibility of part time employees. people need consistency in their work schedule

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's part-time for less than a year
Pros – The particular Lowes I work at has treated me great. started off with a great pay (at least for a college student). They gave me good hours and when issues arrive, like i had to take work off, they helped me out finding someone to take my shift. Honestly it all depends on the people you work with. If you work with loving people and you are loving, your experience is going to be great no matter where you work.
Cons – As a cashier, management does ask for some pretty high standards. They want you to get some challenging percents on your credit card rates and other stuff but its all on your job description so you just have to work hard on it.
Advice to Senior Management – give us more training and advice for the credit card rates and such. Also dont be so demanding on them as well be understanding that most customers do not want such things and just want to be checked out without being offered 5 different things. Maybe instead of trying to push for the percentages give rewards for the ones with great percents so it gives us good reasons to wanna work hard on them.

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's full-time for more than a year
Pros – Flex hours, benefits, training, promotions and building relationships with co workers and meeting new people every day. Fun, positive and uplifting. Diverse community, respect one another and build friendships. Able to learn at your own pace. Move around the store when oportunities arise.
Cons – At times Corp. schedule conflicks with vacation time off but almost always no problem.
Advice to Senior Management – You guys/gals are great and definately couldn't do it with out you.
