Cons – corporate scheduling is horrid. scheduling could easily be changed without causing loss of profitability.
Advice to Senior Management – work in retal before you head off to corporate office. most seem to be out of the realities of retail

I have been working at Lowe's Home Centers full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – There are many different areas you can work in.
Ability to cross train.
Diverse employees
Cons – Not enough enforcement of the attendance policy, often leaving you short handed.
Schedule for full time associates only allows for one weekend off a month, with split days off (sunday/ friday) which basically gives you two weeks with only two days off.
There isnt enough consistency.
The company as a whole, is stuck on the good ole boy system, making department changes difficult.
Advice to Senior Management – Be uniform with all employees and stick to the attendance policy to weed out poor performers.

I have been working at Lowe's Home Centers
Pros – Dealing with customers who come to us with diverse problems and helping them find workable solutions to those problems. A stable work environment, as stable as this economy will permit
Cons – overtime hours are taboo even when customers are needing help, NO OVERTIME, the customer will get by. Pay is not in line with the amount, type, and skill sets required to perform day to day jobs.
Advice to Senior Management – get teh amount of help we need in the departments and be more concerned about the needs of the customer and stop pinching pennies on overtime.

I have been working at Lowe's Home Centers
Pros – None they are greedy and do not care about their employees. Got rid of 35$ Christmas bonus..god forbid we don't want to break the bank.
Cons – Same as above..selfish corporate America who treats a soldier like crap when called to duty. I would never work here again
Advice to Senior Management – Start caring about people stop thinking of how u can make the most money for you. Allow full time.to.be 40 hours not 39

I worked at Lowe's Home Centers
Pros – The pay is the best reason to work for Lowe's. Compared to other retailers, their pay is well above average.
Cons – If you are not a man, you might want to consider another profession because this is definitely a man's world. And don't report any wrongdoings by male counterparts or supervisors, they would rather save their reputation than do the right thing.
Advice to Senior Management – Advice to management? Your associates are texting, gissipping, etc.-- Make them work.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Lowe's Home Centers
Pros – 1 medical insurance is cheaper than what I was paying.
Cons – hours, you must submit vacation time 30 days in advance,
Advice to Senior Management – Be fair to everyone, consider others than just yourself. One day the recession will be over and you will lose your workers because of the way Lowe's treats their employees like we are lucky to have a job, moral is so low and you wonder why people just quit without notice.
