    I worked at Lowe's full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

On the job training, promotions are given even without college degrees, fair review processes, great succession planning.

    Cons

No matter where you go in retail, if you don't love your job, the rotating schedule and long work days for managers are brutal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lowes is going in the right direction with their changes...just work on the senior staff rotations, they are not conducive to productivity with the 6 days on 1 day off, then 4 days on 1 day off. You feel like you worked 12 days straight. When one is on their feet doing 10 miles or more a day in a huge box store, the body needs time to recoup.
