I have been working at Lowe's full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Lowe's puts a lot of resources into their employees. They have an excellent training program and great benefits. I also love the dress requirements (jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes).

    Cons

They still have a DOS system that's very outdated and not very user-friendly. Working weekends isn't the best, either, but the way they treat their employees makes up for that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider a change to the software that integrates all the programs into one windows-platform environment.

I have been working at Lowe's

    Pros

Above average starting salary for the retail industry. Opportunity for advancement. Corporate rotation ensures that full-time employees are guaranteed one weekend off each month as well as a Sunday. Lots of benefits available.

    Cons

It's retail, so long hours on your feet and unreasonable customers are the norm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps realize that those of us work the returns/customer service desk do more than regular cashier and adjust our pay accordingly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and get a program that have a little more incentives for sales associates..

I have been working at Lowe's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Pay is decent as an Unload Associate. Lowe's value hard work and compensates accordingly. My store values their employees and it appears that almost all employees are happy there. Management is easy to approach.

    Cons

Benefits aren't that good for part-time employees. At least there are some available. Seems to be lack of accountability at times.
