Current Employee – been working at Lowe's part-time for less than a year
Pros – They have really good benefits.
Cons – You can suffer at the hands of those who do not have an idea what happens out on the sales floor, even if they are working in the same store!
Advice to Senior Management – Get connected to what is happening in your own store, and don't tell lies.

Advice to Senior Management – To all Store Managers, quit micro managing your teams. You put ASM's and DM's in position because you have the most trust in them, right? Sure does not feel like you guys are enabled by your Market Managesr or RVP's to shake hands, kiss babies, and be out in the community. Instead you are spending all day stressing about the next visit and micro-managing processes and people. Loosen up, take a breath, and enjoy what you do!

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Plenty of places to move around, plenty of different things to learn. Competitive pay, fair management
Cons – It's retail, so you have to deal with the occasional sour customer. A lot of work expected out of you at all different hours of the day.
Advice to Senior Management – Try to keep peoples schedules as consistent as possible

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's part-time for less than a year
Pros – You work with a lot of interesting people, and meet a lot of different customers.
Cons – Store tends to show favoritism and only promotes the same individuals instead of promoting people within.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote people who are proven to do a job from within. Hiring people from outside the company to do a job over current employees who have to train them is a slap in the face.

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Lowe's is a good company to work for because if you do your job there is always opportunity to move upward in the company.
Cons – You will always be asked to do things outside of your basic job description, if you want to work for Lowe's you just have to accept the fact that you are going to have to cross train in all of your surrounding departments and be able to multi talk well in order to be successfull in the long term with the company.
Advice to Senior Management – Create a better avenue for employees to give feedback to the corporate office. The big focus of this would be on planagram issues and other merchandise types of concerns that don't always seem to be implemented in the most efficient way from the corporate level. If local stores had a little more flexablity in this area they could taylor the layout and merchandising in their stores more to local demand.

Former Employee – worked at Lowe's part-time for more than a year
Pros – Decent Pay, fun place, GO!! Jimmy Johnson...
Cons – political...it matters if you work in a store full of young college students when you are in your 40s. No one is really nice to you. There is also a lot of drama, as expected, with the young crowd.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire more responsible people!!

Former Employee – worked at Lowe's part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – good pay, flexible hours, great benefits, many job opportunities, understanding managers, many breaks throughout the day, and great people to work with
Cons – difficult customers at times, inconsistent scheduling, not as many raises as I wanted or expected, after almost three years only got to 9.19/hour

Current Employee – been working at Lowe's full-time for more than a year
Pros – Decent amount of pay, not too stressful of a job, great environment as to co-workers.
Cons – They will not hire full time most of the time, and if you even do the slightest thing to make your assistant manager mad they will cut your hours. The corporate survey means nothing, and nothing changes when you say what is going on inside the store. So if you really have to stay there I would never advise it. They fire people left and right without reason. The store manager also hasn't even introduced himself to some of the employees who have worked their for years.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop being so passive aggressive, get more organized and look at the store as a whole.
