Great working experience, acquired various skills that I will be able to leverage in the job market

    Systems Engineer II (Former Employee)
    Mooresville, NC

ProsWorked with very talented Engineers and loved the job I did.

Consnot having a telecommuting program that would allow me to take care of sick wife. I was approved to work from home due to sick wife, management changed and new manager changed, I given a choice of being in the office 5 days a week or look for other opportunities.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllow Engineers to work from home, especially for those that have hardships that can't travel every day to the office. Eventually they will lose more employees to companies that allows that flexibility.

    Kitchen Cabinet Industry At Lowes

    Cabinet Specialist (Current Employee)
    Grand Rapids, MI

ProsUnder Staffed, Which Causes An Imbalance with customer service, and management has not a clue of what the cabinet industry does and is expected to do at Lowes. So with that said write ups to those that have a customer complaint or have a customer service imbalance with no help. Personal experience code 3 (HELP Page) Three Times - with no one coming! Which in turn creates turn over which causes a loss of moneys for the share holders which in turn causes more stress on the floor for the whole store. NOT GOOD !

    ConsThey Make An Effort !

Advice to Senior ManagementTake A Good Look At Your Employees Balance and In Return Your Impact Can Be Utilized To The Fullest !

    Upper management needs management

    Cashier (Former Employee)

ProsGood pay. Usually get some good deals on products. Some of the people were nice. It just depends on which store you are in..

ConsMicro-management is out of control. Work-life balance is not very good. They expect a lot but you're not often complimented for doing a good job

Advice to Senior ManagementDefinitely need to do a better job at training. And upgrade the computers. You're still running a DOS program!!!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    "Leave when you can"

Customer Service Associate II (Current Employee)

Prosmeeting some cool people, pay is pretty good for a retail store

Consmanagement sucks big time, they cut hours for associates so the store manager can get his HUGE bonus while the associates can't pay bills. They don't train you worth anything so everything you learn is on your own but when things aren't done correctly you get in trouble. Under staffed and underappreciated. If you are truly trying to move up in the company its almost impossible. I talked to my manager and store manager about moving up and nothing was done. Granted some of our associates have been with the company 20 years and have not moved anywhere!! Management doesn't care about associates, will talk behind your back, smile in your face and then fire you 3 days later. Its a very cut throat environment.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat people with respect and maybe you will earn some in return, listen to employees!

    decent summer job

    Customer Service Associate (Former Employee)
    Wetumpka, AL

ProsThe rolling ladders, fair wages, good coworkers, great hr department, usually something to do.

Consthe stupid race competition, depending on where you are the customers can be really suck, and closing one night and opening the next morning was a frequent and annoying problem.

    Flooring Specialist

    Sales Specialist Flooring (Current Employee)

ProsGood benefits. Enjoy taking care of customers and seeing a smile on their face after project is done.

ConsIt's a corporation, they care more about the bottom dollar than actually living by the "Customer Service" they preach.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed more associates in the aisles.

ConsThe scheduling sucks. You can work 4am one day and until 11pm the next. And as a full time employee you have to be available all the time
