    Pros

    Opportunity for team players and dependable workers, as well as for great leaders to promote. Great benefit program, including health, dental, vision, 401 K, etc.
    Extensive training available for all employees, including management staff and is ongoing. It is typically completed on-line and in some cases, with class room settings. Very people oriented and customer service intensive business if you enjoy same.

    Cons

    Holiday, nights and weekend hours...which is to be expected in this industry. Some high turnover of sales floor and cashier positions, as well as senior management (not all, but some) outside of the store can treat staff demeaning or even threatening, making for a difficult work environment.

    Advice to Management

    Remember where you started and take care of your store teams. They make it happen and without them, none of the customers would be happy, nor could the business model succeed. Too many talented managers and employees leave or are driven out due to poor managers above them. This has and does occur even at some of the Regional staff level, while their respective corporate leadership can be naive to it. They will even run off great staff, store or even district leadership using false performance allegations. Corporate teams need to monitor field office closer and challenge turnover of tenured or other red flag scenarios. Problems are not always others....as sometimes they are the in position dysfunctional leader.

    Pros

    The people I work with are amazing. Always learn something new and they really respect me. Management is really good also.

    Cons

    The more you're there the more you notice favortism. Wish it didn't happen but it does. Also work schedule can be tough. Working all the weekends while others get off more.

    Keep up good work .

    Pros

    This is a great spot for anyone that wants to work Monday-Friday. No one really bothers you and you are left to do your work on your own.

    Cons

    Pay is low for what you do. You are all on your own and you really do not get help from anyone else. That being said, you have to build at least 100 grills by mid May to keep up with the season and the demand. You also have to assemble all the tractors at the same time. All on your own and within the 40 hours that you are working each week. Then you also have the demand to also build customer orders as well as displays for every department.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people for the department.

    Pros

    The hours are flexible hours. The management and the co-workers are friendly. Even during slow period of activity with customers, there is plenty of work to keep busy.

    Cons

    There seems to be a lack of communication from management down.The teamwork between departments is relatively low even though it is a stressed quality of the store.

    Advice to Management

    Communication about open positions, new hires, promotions, and salary matrix needs to be more transparent.

    Pros

    Pay and benefits are good, some department managers are also good. Hours can be flexible which helps part timers

    Cons

    Nobody can make a decision, and it seems they are afraid to step out of the box. Computer system is a real mess which leads to question senior management and direction they are taking the company

    Pros

    lowes is a great company with great benefits who really are customer focused. Lowes sells a quality product and stands by there name.
