I have been working at Lowe's full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Very positive situation. Anyone with people skills will excel in this business, and you will be noticed quickly.

    Cons

Corporate structure is slow-moving. As are any large companies. As long as you can be on time, your life is very easy.

    I worked at Lowe's part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    No one watching over me..

    Cons

Zero training, they just threw me onto the floor with no instructions. I learned everything on the go.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is decent. Benefits are good if you take advantage of all the various affiliate company discounts (i.e. Met life, Verizon etc.) Progressive company with forward thinking initiatives.

    Cons

Some stores can be high stress, depending on management and location. Often expected to do too much with too little. Older/smaller stores feel left behind by new company planograms, merchandising retail space and overall appearance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Celebrate wins, be supportive to everyone regardless of position and most importantly BE GENUINE.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
