Overall ok, not suited for ambitious young professionals

Intern (Former Employee) Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

ProsLufthansa offers good benefits and an awesome work life balance. You will not have to work long hours. You will have a lot of job security.

ConsIt is difficult to get promoted. There is a lot of bureocrazy and the pay is not very good. Average probably.

Advice to Senior ManagementThis company has to be modernized!

    lufthansa gts

Customer Service Consultant (Former Employee) Dublin, Dublin (Ireland)

    ProsAmazing flight benefits
    Very friendly envionment
Good opportunity to learn customer service skills
It's perfect if you want to get some experience in a multinational and enjoy travelling around the world

ConsSalary is very low, almost minimum wage
You're treated like a slave (management has no interest in giving you a good work/life balance, if you need time off you have to beg and it's never confirmed until the last minute; if you leave your desk to go to the toilet/canteen, there's a 'timer' and at the end of the month you get a small bonus if you haven't left your desk for too long!!!)

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement has to start respecting his employees

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    international enviroment
nothing else can´t be positive on this job - the worst experience in my entire life

    Conswork enviroment
disrespect every employee as living human beings
    low salary
management, which can not make one good decision
    almost like a jail

Advice to Senior ManagementFire yourself or try to understand the needs of your employees, as they are making money, not you.
Management should try to work with agents at least for a week or two to understand their needs

Great place to gather experience. Bad place to make a career.

Project Manager (Current Employee) Hamburg (Germany)

ProsGlobal working environment, friendly working atmosphere, nice colleagues, interesting tasks and projects, diverse topics to work on

Consextensive hierarchie driven communication, historic processes override new techniques and approaches, 80ies management style and methods, no differentiation between high- and low-performers, intransparent way of recruiting leaders and executives

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove stronger differentiation of performing and non-performing staff and improve career paths for more employees (and not only the selected few)

Lack of mission, vision and innovation

Manager (Former Employee) Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

ProsCheap flights, even if on limited stand-by basis.

ConsLufthansa lacks a mission and vision to guide the employees in decision making. There is no innovation due a lack of learning organization culture. Lack of leadership. Strong blame culture.

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior management has too completely change the culture of the company. Focus on revenue instead of cost reduction. Focus on innovation rather than accountability.
