    Pros

Great product and technology concepts and patents

    Cons

Terrible management of running a business that needs to grow

    Advice to Management

Start over with new management and investments or sell your patents to have someone take over.

    Pros

Luidia was working on a very interesting product, especially interesting for someone who enjoys GUI-intensive multi-platform development.

    Cons

It was a very strangely managed development effort. It was supposed to be Agile-Scrum, but the target kept changing so that it was only waterfall in the end.

    Advice to Management

I believe that management has made changes since I left.

    Pros

A small but established company that had a great group of people to work with and a product that everyone really believed in.

    Cons

Not being able to branch out past the one product and to go into other educational spaces quickly enough.

    Pros

Product is very viable and should be used in all aspects of business / education. location is fairly convenient, Atmosphere use to be excellent and there is room for much improvement. Product quality is very good, Minimal returns.

    Cons

No one has been able to find a consistant method to sell this product. And lord knows there have been plenty of individuals that have tried. Too many dreamers and not enough looking at the product that is right in front of their eyes.

    Advice to Management

Dont think so large at this time. Find a plan that ALL of you agree on and then execute. Target a couple markets to infiltrate. This product is viable. SURVIVE

    Pros

The products that Luidia creates are amazing, they work perfect and the people at Luidia are some of the most genuine and smart people you will meet. The company culture is very mellow and calm and free lunch Friday's are a perk many love.

    Cons

Management has been doing the same thing years and has little desire to take any input to change or improve. Turnover is extremely high and four to six people a month average come and five to six go and for an eighty person company this is very high. People get hired and never show for their first day and many people are overworked and lack direction in their jobs. Most jobs don't have job descriptions and the feeling in company culture is to be fluid and figure things out while you go along.

    Advice to Management

Speak to the people who do the jobs, find out what it is they do, and work with the employees to improve the structure. The products are great, the culture is great but having no direction from the top is a long term problem. Change the pay structure to be commensurate with the industry, make HR changes, and pay people what you promise.

  9. Fun Atmosphere, But No Career Growth

I have been working at Luidia

    Pros

-Flexible -Fun people to work with -Great product -Friday lunches -Dog friendly

    Cons

-Management team with no previous experience -No mentors -No processes -No career growth -No yearly reviews with raises -No communication between groups -No extra perks or benefits to retain employees

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the Management team and put in place some real executives who not only worry about looking good on paper, but also care about producing quality products at a specified time. Too many ex-EFI'ers with their limited scope of thinking.

    Pros

People are extremely friendly and generally really fun. It's a much older, more settled-in crowd. Engineering managers are definitely competent, friendly, and understanding

    Cons

The higher-ups seem to have no idea what direction to take with the company. It feels like the company pivots its strategy around the same point continuously for years on years.

    Advice to Management

Come up with a solid product plan and actually deliver it instead of terminating projects every 3 months.

  11. Great people but bad management

    Pros

    - People are friendly - Dog Friendly - Flexible work environment - Friday lunches - Great Technology

    Cons

    - No processes - No infrastructure - Lazy upper management - No raises and below average salaries - No experience in productizing

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be serious about growing the company and establish the process and infrastructure to meet the demands. Listen to your employees and be open to change. The current way isn't sustainable.
