Diverse learning opportunities from good and bad experiences

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Salt Lake City, UT

I have been working at Lumenis full-time for more than 8 years

ProsGreat work force. Interesting and challenging high tech products. Challenging regulatory environment. Many opportunities to learn and excel. Great management in local unit when not influenced by corporate executives.

ConsThe cons are: Short term focus of executive management; Lack of advancement opportunities; lack of pay raises; lack of remuneration and incentives; lack of resources; lack of investment into employee development; lack of a clear vision for the future; lack of inspiration from the top; abundance of work piled up on the remaining workforce; poor employee morale.

Advice to Senior ManagementExecutive management, you have some great employees. They are the geese to your organizations. Please don't kill the geese. You'll lose the sources of your golden eggs.

Enjoyable but unstable. In a transitional state.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Lumenis full-time for more than 8 years

ProsGood pay, some good benefits, good people to work with, one gains medical device industry experience and plant is in a good location. Challenging work and a great learning experience.

ConsTop managment is short-term focused. Top managment is not focused on quality, revenue is top priority. Morale is low right now. No end to turmoil in sight.

Horrifyingly Toxic, Adversarial and Greedy

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Santa Clara, CA

I have been working at Lumenis full-time for less than a year

ProsA handful of colleagues. There are only a few people that shine in the depressing and overly-stressed environment.

ConsGreed, lacking accountability, mediocrity and incompetency are rewarded, but hard work is penalized with increased responsibility and no money.
A “Penny wise, Pound foolish” mentality, a lack of clear communication from the Israel-based HQ, fragmented systems and processes (due to tight-fistedness), along with an unconcerned HR team make this company more than unpleasant to work for.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon’t expect positive outcomes with missing or negative resources. Trust your employees to make the right decisions. Learn how to communicate corporate decisions in a more effective way to all regions. Be consistent with your decisions.
