I worked at Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment for student interns. Helped learn office responsibilities and time management. Learned how to plan fundraiser events, recruit volunteers, local media and in-house donations.

    Cons

Consider paying interns minimum wage along with school credit.

I have been working at Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff and other interns are all nice and very helpful. Laid back atmosphere while also getting things accomplished in a timely manner.

    Cons

The biggest downside of interning at the Lupus Foundation was the distance from my home to the office. If it were a little closer, I could save more on gas.

    Pros

Most college students have never been in a professional business atmosphere before, which makes the job search a little more daunting because you do not know what to expect. The atmosphere at the LFA CT is professional yet not pretentious.

    Cons

Some Data entry and administrative work, tedious but good to know.
