An interesting and innovative place to work

    Engineering Co-Op (Former Employee)
    Coopersburg, PA

ProsSubstantial projects are given to co-ops. However, there will be some trivial tasks as well that are to be expected. People are generally very friendly and helpful. Most people are good at what they do. There are always new and interesting products being developed.

ConsSomewhat uninteresting location. A little too conservative and old fashioned in some ways. May encounter some people who are not willing to embrace newer technology or better/simpler ways of doing things.

Engineering company that wants to get product done

    Engineering Co-Op (Current Employee)
    Coopersburg, PA

ProsThere is a lot of cooperation within the company and decisions are made with long-term focus. Full-time employees enjoy a lot of flexibility to develop their career into fields they like.

ConsThe company hire a lot of contractors and may lay off them easily. The way to maintain good benefits for full-time employees kind of relies on treating contractors fairly poorly.

Great opportunities if you're willing to work hard

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Coopersburg, PA

ProsPlenty of chances to get a wide variety of experiences if you pursue them. Always changing and adapting so things never get boring. Up and coming management is very capable and promising.

ConsAlways trying to get too many things done at once. Lacking focus. Top management is not very well aligned with each other at times.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet aligned and working toward the same strategic goals.

A very unique company that maintains a high standard of quality both inward and outward

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Coopersburg, PA

ProsA very innovative company that is willing to reinvest in it's future without the worries of what shareholders would say.

ConsAs with any innovative company there is a high demand for responsibilty for those that work within the organization, this can be difficult for those not willing to lead.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to communicate with everyone in the organization as that as been very beneficial, especially during the tough economic times.

Great place to start after college

    Project Electrical Engineer (Current Employee)
    Coopersburg, PA

ProsIts a great place to start working after college and they have a great salary/benefits package and support former Coops and interns very well. Team based work is predominant, and employees generally work well together. There is a lot of room to move around (both horizontally to other business units) and vertically (into lower management). Further education is encouraged, especially through in house classes by local educators.

ConsIt is a younger company. Many in the lower management are less than 30 years old, which could affect some of the relationships with older employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementAs a private company, it can be difficult to effectively communicate how the company is doing with the current economy. Remain as open as you can, especially to employees.
