    Pros

Really smart people - strategically superior than the majority of agencies out there - an environment of professionals who are ALL IN and fully committed to the agency brand - great work is created here and shortcuts and messiness are not tolerated - that alone makes M&C a client's dream because they do not have to worry about the details - M&C lives by the details

    Cons

A bit stiff on occasion - at times there is the tendency to ignore the fact that culture and the appreciation are both very important parts of an organization and can lead to or detract from its ultimate success

    Advice to Management

Listen to everyone - good ideas come from everywhere - and laugh a bit - and appreciate the commitment people have to the M&C Saatchi brand - that type of commitment is rare and precious

    Pros

Good work/life balance. Very relaxed office environment and small, intimate setting.

    Cons

The company is based in the UK and therefore, there is a huge disconnect with hiring processes, compliance, and billings.

    Advice to Management

There should be the correct management roles overseeing hiring, office, and departments.

    Pros

Global Reach, people and Terrific name - professionals assume you are Saatchi and Saatchi which is a large part of why we get our foot in the door with a lot of clients.

    Cons

Tech tools don't always work because the URLS of the tools are based out of London and if you aren't physically in a M&C office it doesn't always work (e.g. work from home or local Starbucks). Forced to use GMAIL ...great for personal, terrible for business and project management (e.g. Can't attach emails to other email strings, Lables are not the same as folders for Media Planners, can't copy and paste charts and graphs from MSFT products (limited integration), and bullets come out funky). Most of the U.S. uses outlook for business not gmail.

There is an unhealthy security that IT implements on all computers so you can't update basic programs, choose ones you want to use, etc...without submitting a ticket (and by the way the tech team is in London).

    Advice to Management

While upper management is solid, there doesn't seem to be any communication that ladders up. There are quite a few issues that a lot of employees have but those issues fall on deaf ears. Please hire a HR department as there are issues related to interviewing and employees that haven't been sorted.

    Pros

Some excellent people to work with. Lots of opportunities if you're smart enough to spot them & are prepared to put yourself forwards.

    Cons

Top-heavy management can cause a lot of tension. Lean teams - long hours. Low pay compared to other agencies. The 'sink or swim' culture is quite aggressive.

    Advice to Management

Be cautious of focusing too much on the numbers & targets. Below management there is a sense that the people running the agency are only concerned with hitting targets & getting their bonuses. Teams feel over-worked, under-paid and unappreciated.

    Pros

Small, friendly, smart, understanding, fun, good balance, nice environment, good location. Had a great time working here.

    Cons

No opportunities to do giant, impactful campaigns if that's what you're looking for. No digital department in house because of the size.

    Advice to Management

    None. Great experience.

    Pros

Colleagues are very welcoming when you get into the company, there are lots of opportunities to get to know your co-workers (as there are about 400). You'll receive lots of responsibilities very early on & get chances to jump in on new projects.

    Cons

The work-life balance is quite off, they're working hard to meet the deadlines and when they finish, there will be another pitch just waiting around the corner. They're trying to turn the company around and make them look ready for the future, while they are not yet comfortable in a certain way of working.

    Advice to Management

Send your employees home when you see they have been in the office non-stop for 3 weeks straight. Less selling, more building.

    Pros

    Very big and international clients

    Cons

NO perks, you have to pay for a decent coffee, a juice or a snack at the company cafeteria; no events for the employees (only xmas party).

    Pros

Had a mentor I learnt so much from everyday, he gave me the liberty to work on my own projects always leading me towards the correct place. The company trusted me and the working environment, even if very stressful, was very nice. Made good friends.

    Cons

Not a lot of work-life balance. Some days I could work 15 hours a day, and worked many weekends. It was fun because I was a part of something but after a while it became exhausting. The pay was very low.

    Advice to Management

Try to offer better compensations and value your employees more. Even if there are a lot of people waiting at the door to work there, a high turnover of employees is not a good sign for a company. In this case, from what I saw, employees just get tired after a while and quit after having a very nice experience. Wishing to stay but knowing they couldn't.

    Pros

great offices, some great people, good accounts

    Cons

Some accounts are really under staffed - specially in client services. AMs put long hours, but there is not much recognition.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the staff, support them, pay them well ad they will stay!
