Pros
Most weekends off. Decent benefits for a small company. Despite the short comings of the company as a whole there are some very good co-workers.
Cons
Where to start? It's a small company that will always be a small company because they hold themselves back. They want to be perceived as a major player, but are afraid (or are too cheap, I'm not sure which) to step up and play the wholesale game on the same level as their competition.
They want to sell in the big box arena and earmark product that big box stores "might" buy and handicap their salesmen who struggle to make sales to the core customers who grew them to where they are today. These core customers play second fiddle to the big box stores and are forced to purchase their staple products from other vendors. If M&M continues this course there will be no need for the professional sales staff and their hard working support staff.
Is M&M a good place to work? No where close to what it once was.
Both locations are in the "hood" not safe at all.
The owner ignores any suggestions the staff and management may have. And the C.O.O. Is nothing more than a yes man feeding the owner what he wants to hear.
Advice to Senior Management
Wake up and pull your head out before it's too late.
