    Pros

I like to work at Ma Labs. People and management are very friendly and helpful. We are very family oriented and also fast paced. I like to be challenged here everyday, and also feel the engagement. The management did some new change recently and motivated employees.

    Cons

I have enjoyed working at Ma Labs

    Pros

It was a job. Many Chinese and Taiwanese ladies work there. Sub_disty environment was fun at times.

    Cons

You kinda need to speak Chinese to be part of Office culture. The Office is dirty and bathrooms are worse. They condone infighting amongst sales reps. Most people that have accounts with them use them for grey market deals and they like dealing with the ladies, so if you are male , it can be difficult to find accounts that are willing to work with you.

    Advice to Management

    Clean up the place.

    Pros

The relationship between employees is close. People are helpful and friendly to each other. Pretty good work-life balance, 8:45 to 9:30 for office employees. This is my first job out of college, and I get a lot of hands-on experience, which I could never have in any other companies in such short period of time.

    Cons

There isn't much time/opportunity for team meetings and team building events. It would be better if management could have more team building and communication activities.

    Advice to Management

Employees would really appreciate that management could adopt a more open-door policy for more communication and information sharing.

    Pros

Opportunities to work with a lot of young, talented people.

    Cons

A lot of backstabbing going on in senior management. CEO lets a few circle of people run the company but gets manipulated by them as a result. Insane turnover ratio.

    Advice to Management

Micromanagement is an outdated method to run a company in this age.

    Pros

Opportunity to learn about purchasing and inventory as a mid-size distributor.

    Cons

Managers are there to secure their own position, not to lead the team for better performance or success. There was no "team work". Only politics. The time card system is set to be recorded at the "intended" hours, eg. 9am in the morning (even if you punch in earlier than 9am) and 545pm in the evening (even if you leave at 630pm).

    Advice to Management

Seniority is not equal to performance. It's not how long a person has being with the company, but what s/he achieves.

    Pros

Flexible hours. Little PTO. 401k no matching. Good for new graduates and chinise speaker people. Lunch 45 minutes.

    Cons

I went from being a salaried employee to a per hour employee. Company will debut every minute your late. Comisión it's a joke. If you stay for OR you need prior approval from managment. Sales manager are incompetent. No help at all.

    Advice to Management

Offer a better comision structure and do show the true cost on each product to maximize profit

    Pros

-Business is stable and has been around since 1983.

    Cons

-Not much has changed since 1983
-Each employee is a cog in the bigger machine
-HR department is 'gestapo' for the execs, micromanaging the rest of the company
-Low compensation and stingy benefits package

    Advice to Management

Change your outdated business practice and mentality. You're located in the Silicon Valley in the 21st century. Invest in your talent and value/respect your employees. This includes not taking advantage of non-citizens seeking H1B work visas.
