    Opportunity

    Senior Management (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsOpportunities are very diverse, from geography to function.
Work hard, have 'can do' attitude and many doors are opened and available.
Company is laser focused on "helping government serve the people" CEO takes that mission seriously, always looking for opportunity to improve services.
    Great people.

ConsCompensation disparity (removing the contract nature of the work, significant disparity exists across the organization at all levels - entry to senior management).
This organization has grown very quickly and the shift from old culture to new culture has some pains - not necessarily a con, but something to navigate.
There is large disconnect between field offices and corporate office. Very top down approach.

Advice to Senior ManagementDecide what culture you are truly trying to create, stick with it with every action, message, and communication. Make certain actions reflect messages and value trying to create.

Such high potential in the hands of poor management

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsClean updated professional work environment.

ConsManagement is vulgar, unprofessional and void of people skills. Treats staff as personal servants.

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Potentially good employer if they knew how to manage people!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsBeing able to help those in need. Having a sense that what we did mattered and have an affect on someone's life. The team was friendly which helped when the clientele was often less than friendly.

ConsToo much confusion on the WECare project. Management that did not seem to know what they were getting into when they won the bid. They only focused on the bottom line and did not have any real concern for the clients. Kept adding to the process but wanted us to do it in less time. Everyone was a temp and was promised full time status within 6 months which never happened.

Advice to Senior ManagementRe-vamp or streamline the process. Hire more FULL TIME staff.

    Great Mission, Successful Company

    Anonymous (Current Employee)
    Boston, MA

ProsStrong management teams, good supervisors; noble mission and a lot of passion for the work.

ConsToo many employees trying to game the system, being absent or abusing leave and leaving the rest with to pick up the pieces. Too much personal drama.

Advice to Senior ManagementClear out the dead wood quicker.

Full of promises, but lied to every one of their 2000 employees.

    Training Specialist (Current Employee)
    Boise, ID

ProsColleagues were the only silver lining.

ConsTold everyone during interviews that contract was for 36 months, and then after 8, laid off 90% of workforce. Reclassified training department in a retaliatory fashion by cutting wages and worsening benefits package. Horribly hostile work environment, even Human Capital couldn't be trusted with day to day issues. I would not wish for my worst enemy to be employed here, and if they were, at least it wouldn't be for long.

Company untruthful on many aspects of employment.

    Customer Service Representative (Former Employee)
    Boise, ID

ProsI really enjoyed working with people and helping them sort out problems.

ConsCompany promised employees benefits and then took 1/2 of them away. The Department of Labor is very unhappy with the way this company handled itself.

Advice to Senior ManagementWhen you promise employees certain benefits, minimum 2 year employment, for giving up a job to come to work there and then lay them off after 7 months.

    Maximus NYC

    CSS III (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThere is a whole mix of people from different cultures and backgrounds in this company, co-workers try to help to each other on the daily tasks. There is a lot you will learn by yourself.

ConsThe floor support to agents is absolutely weak , there is no enough training or shadowing, they expect you to learn by yourself by reading em@ils you receive constantly during your whole shift while you are talking to customers on the phone. Your “Team Lead” is the one to provide you support when you have questions however the “Team Lead” in my group yell to people things like “Don’t ask me anything if you haven’t read your thousand email first, use your resources, how can you be so lazy” after exhausted all your resources without finding the answer you need and you ask your “Team Lead” for some guide, you might get and answer like “I’m too busy right now, ask someone else…”
The way they manage people is horrible, the environment is very restrictive and stressful besides they provide you with ambiguous information.
Payment is too low for the amount of stress

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your people like humans and not like war prisoners

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
