I have been working at MCG

    Pros

Company where employees respect each other and the work. Respect is a huge way to get things done.

    Cons

Remains to be seen how new owners will change company

I worked at MCG full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Free food was offered to employees as well as fun events such as the company picnic. The company does try to attempt to have somewhat of a fun culture.
Some employees were wonderful and very hardworking.

    Cons

If you did not go to the same alma mater as upper mgmt or have a "certain look" then you were alienated.
A lot of supervisors had the same type A personality which was an obvious power struggle causing a very dramatic environment.
    Overworked employees who are undervalued
High turn over rate-20 people have either quit or been fired from one department in a short period of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think some managers need to be closely monitored for their unprofessionalism especially micro-managing to the point where it felt like a dictatorship.
Don't just promote people for brown nosing. The best leaders are those that encourage, understand, RESPECT employers and keep cool under pressure. Personality types should also be considered for management roles.
Managers should take courses on effective leadership, ethical values, and valuing employees.

Reward your employees for their services, show appreciation for hard work.

I have been working at MCG

    Pros

Extremely organized, pays ontime, is very flexable on scheduling and they're really nice people. Your work schedule is all done via the internet. You can view your pay schedule, what you have already been paid for and what you will be getting paid for. It really has a self employed feeling about it. You have your schedule, you show up for work, sell your products, report your results within 24 hours of your shift and thats it. No managers hovering around you. In fact the only time you hear from management is when there are extra shifts available or they e-mail you with updates. Great company to work for.

    Cons

None that I can think of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.
