Mostly stable, median wages (not bad, not great).

lack of promotional opportunites, high performance not rewarded fairly, overall just a big corporation with the corporate issues.

Don't be so sluggish with decisions and communications.

Pros

Benefits are really great. 1/3 off utility bill, 3 weeks vacation to start, good medical, dental, vision insurance with little out of pocket expenses.

Cons

Very little promotion potential, professional development. Focus is on shareholder value and not employee morale or satisfaction. Definitely a top down organization.

If you focus on the employees, they will be happy they work for you and will work that much harder for you.

Pros

Depending on what department you are in, you might have a good experience or a bad one. Benefits are as good as anywhere you'll find. They have a strong level of integrity and run business the right way.

Cons

Somewhat of an old boys club. If you're in the circle you're going to be groomed for success, if not, you're out of luck. Advancement more geared to engineers than other specialists.

Advice to Senior Management

Treat everyone fairly, and look for the hidden stars within the company. There are a lot of people with good ideas that never get heard.
