I have been working at MICROS Systems full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are none. The managers don't care about you and work you like slaves. The new CEO is just as bad as the one who retired if not worse.

    Cons

You are a slave. The company does nothing for their employees. Extremely underpaid. They do not offer a competitive salary in the DMV area where the cost of living is very high. Your better off working at walmart!!

I have been working at MICROS Systems full-time

    Pros

Co-workers are great, well some, and go through the same think you do so they feel your pain.

    Cons

Senior management sucks. They care nothing about the employees and are only out to make them selves look better, they will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat. They don't care if a team member does nothing at all, they wont be fired. And by team I mean "team" there is not team mentality here.

I worked at MICROS Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. All employees pretty much get laptops with accessible webmail.
    2. Work hours are 9-5.
    3. You can dress very comfortably everyday.

    Cons

    1. This place has extremely high turnover in all positions and all knowledge gained walks out the door as very little is ever documented.
    2. They can't keep people and can't get them in fast enough to replace the ones who leave so there is a lot put on those who remain.
    3. There is no training for the individual to keep their skills sharp.
    4. People are often given no backups so when you are out on vacation, you are still expected to be available "on-call.
    5. People at all levels are very involved and are expected to manage clients. This means there is no time for management, leadership or mentoring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either pay attention to the Ann Arbor office or close it down and move it to Chicago. Stop, look and LISTEN to people. Get hands on to get them the help they need. I stayed for nearly 2 years hoping to get better, never did. Only worsened.

    I worked at MICROS Systems

    Pros

Lower management is fantastic for the most part and at an entry level work ends when you leave for the day

    Cons

    Very Low pay scale
    Limited promotion opportunity
    High Turnover
    Minimal training
Higher level positions set expectations of additional work beyond your normal business hours and may require weekend work
Upper management is full of "Yes-men"
Promotions that should warrant an increase in pay may be promised but never delivered.
