I have been working at MIG Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Being a family business, the work environment is less "corporate"
    - Good corporate values which are respected and represented very well throughout the company
    - Very generous employee oriented events organized every year (Birthday dinner, Christmas dinner)
    - Competitive end-of-year bonus scheme

    Cons

    - If relocated from abroad, employees receive limited guidance
    - Major dispersion regarding salary packages
    - Sales commissions structure is less competitive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Define clear responsibilities for each and every member of management in order to increase efficiency

I worked at MIG Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Very Good basic pay
    - decent holiday package
    - dont have to work too hard if you are good with the right people

    Cons

    - extremely poor commission structure

    - extremely burocratic decision making process

    - endemic incompetence in mid and top level management (CEO & Deputy CEO are two brothers who are 31 & 27 years old and never worked anywhere else but in their dad's company, MIG Bank)

    - not possible to realise ideas as there is no one competent to assess them properly and make a decision on it let alone appreciate them; if you are competent then you run the danger of embarrassing your superiors by showing them up

    - general feeling of lack of direction and absence of solid business acumen and good practices in the company

-management often displays very arrogant and ignorant "head in the sand" attitude in the face of practical issues raised and instead of dealing with the matter brushing it off with the sentence "We are a bank". Its absolutely incredible to behold when you see it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - The CEO and his brother should join a company were they would have the opportunity to learn best industry practices and experience what it is like to be held accountable for what they do.

    - Also get rid of that self-serving and highly political circle of advisors and "friends" in the management level and replace them with properly experienced and competent people.

    - Risk of layoff even if employee performance is good

    - Work performance not always rewarded
