Pros
great food mission, good company, growing company
Cons
menu names are confusing for guests, we need to make it easier to order, and the amount of free ingredients is crazy, we should limit each burrito to a specific amount of extras
Advice to Senior Management
simplify menu
Pros
Nice, small atmosphere so you really get to know your co-workers and the customers.
Most of the management really cares.
Usually free food while you work.
Really flexible schedules.
Cons
-Whenever there is a complaint from a customer, corporate office will not listen to employee's side of the story at all. Sometimes an instance would become so exaggerated, but corporate will not listen to employees side and demand the franchise managers to take action against all the employees of that shift - regardless of who is at fault.
-The best hours are given to the favorite employees and sometimes you can have really little hours.
-Depending on how the head manager is, the better the store. When there is a bad head manager, the store is not pleasant to work for.
-Hourly workers pay is very little and "key managers" are treated very poorly.
Advice to Senior Management
I would say to make sure the head managers are good leaders before promoting them. Also, when there is big customer complaint, ask the employee's their version of the story before taking action against them.
Pros
Fun to work here but not the best place if you want to have a career that will take you places.
Cons
dead end job, if you want to go somewhere in life i would suggest not working at a moes restearaunt.
Pros
I really enjoyed it and you ate for free when you worked, half off when you didn't work, great staff
Cons
Too much change. it was great at first then the routine started to become hundrum. still not too bad at all.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work i have nothing bad to say at all i completely enjoyed working for Moes SW Grill
Pros
The food at Moe's was great and you got to see a lot of the same crowd on a regular basis and get the know the customers.
Cons
The people they hired at Moe's were not the most capable people and were not a pleasure to be around.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to communicate with their employees more and inform them of reasons why things change, such at hours being abruptly cut with no reasons or explanations.
Pros
Management was willing to work around school schedule. Earned tips on top of hourly salary. Some stores offer free food to employees. Training was very good. They put a high priority on making sure employees are trained and competent.
Cons
Inconsistent pay, some employees earned much higher pay when not deserving. Pay is not based on performance. Lack of raises. Mixed bag with Management. Some managers are excellent, some are some of the worst in my working experience. Some managers treat employees poorly. Some managers do not really work, while other managers are right there with you. Your day could be completely different depending on which manager you worked with for the day. Scheduled hours were sometimes absolutely insane. For example, working until 12 am or after, and then being forced to come in at 8am that same morning.
Advice to Senior Management
This entire review is based off of working in an actual Moes location, not in Corporate: Double check who is promoted to management. Some do not deserve to be at that level. Take a closer look at pay scale, make it more fair and based off of actual work performance. You are doing a great job with training, so make sure to keep that up, its one of your strong points.
