Rural company-good if you want a paycheck with no growth potential.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsIt is a job in a small area. There is a sense of community within the lower level employees. There is an odd tuition reimbursement program.

ConsPrpmotions are rare and are given only when someone retires. The working conditions are tolerable, but do not expect advancement.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive employees an opportunity for professional development.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Nice work process with not a satisfactory environment and very low pay.

    Chennai (India)

ProsTeams would act as communities. Initial training would be nice.

ConsWon't recognize hard work/ extra efforts. Won't provide enough/ rational increments or incentives. Almost no holidays even on public leaves, they would get a signature on a form and ask everyone to work. Management is careless about manpower gaining. Pay would also be less than the deserving. Treatment of employees would be like a teacher treating their students.

Advice to Senior ManagementShow some concern to your employees on treatment, pay, incentives, increments and recognise their efforts, pain and their inner desires & feelings.

    Terrible.

    Freelance Copy Editor (Former Employee)
    Calcutta (India)

    ProsJust the foreign brand label.

ConsThe Indian counterparts are damaging the repute of the company. Possibly the worst editorial force in all of India. In addition, a senior management that turns vindictive and holds back release letters, black-lists employees, holds back freelance payment, divulges and openly discusses contract problems within counterparts, lies to employees, forces to overwork, does not train well, does not recognize efforts, and many more. There is nothing mentionable about the company save its foreign brand label.

Advice to Senior ManagementCannot teach professionals how to behave ethically.

There were many corrupt people in the org when I was working there

    Editor (Current Employee)
    Delhi (India)

ProsI found nothing positive in this org.

    ConsCorrupt higher management.
    Employees are treated like commodities.
    Aimless organization.
They are denying to sign and process my Provident Fund forms.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere were many white elephants (senior management) earlier. They were sucking blood of the company and the employees. I don't know how it is now.
