    Good work/life balance, time off

    Cons

    Below market pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees who are actually talking to the customers. It's worse than you think.

I have been working at MRI Software full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I genuinely feel like my work ethic and skills are valued, and I am paid well. Benefits are decently priced and the plan is good. The office building has fooseball tables, Starbucks coffee, a small gym, and a basketball court for employees. They want to hire and retain the best of the best, and try to provide a lot of extras at work.

    Cons

There could be more solidarity between departments. There can be an 'us vs. them' mentality during stressful times, although overall there is a team mentality.

I have been working at MRI Software full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Seems like a really nice development environment: one massive room with long tables of computers and surrounded by white boards
-The two development leads I met with were very personable
-Recruiters have been in contact with me multiple times and are very helpful

    Cons

Offer is a bit lower than I would prefer, but fits the average in the scale here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    more competitive pay

I have been working at MRI Software as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

They are putting a good amount of effort into recruiting good talent and this reflected in the attention they gave the internship program. Managers and recruiting staff seem legitimately committed to career and personal growth of interns.

MRI seems to really be trying to cultivate its own culture- on-site amenities, happy hours, employee wellness initiatives and a fairly young attitude seem to be steps in the right direction

    Cons

There seems to be a disconnect between departments at times. That being said, intern projects did bridge departmental gaps.

The main employee base could stand to better grasp the company's overall mission and objectives in addition to their own functions

I worked at MRI Software full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1) Coworkers are friendly
    2) Onsite kitchen and gym with extended hours
    3) Nice facility with free parking

    Cons

    1) Promotions are given based on politics and looking the part, which explains the low caliber. No real leadership to speak of and they rarely walk the talk. Lack of values.
    2) Senior management is an old boys club that is arrogant and condescending when speaking to employees, if they speak to employees at all.
    3) Decisions are based on personal agendas instead of what is right for the company/client. When the decisions do not work out, which is often, blame is assigned to someone else while the decision maker continues to get promoted and praised. No real accountability.
    4) Anyone with basic math skills recognizes the numbers provided at meetings to justify client satisfaction and product health are majorly doctored.
    5) If you express a difference of opinion, you are black listed and either forced out or made out to be a problem. You are evaluated based on your level of obedience.
    6) Clique mentality is rampant at the manager and company level. Diversity is not embraced, accepted or wanted.
    7) The company acquisitions were handled poorly. Management terminated employees of those companies with no clue on how the products actually worked or how to support them.
    8) The company's reputation in the industry has suffered since the acquisition by Vista. Several clients have left after receiving strong arm tactics to legally commit them to spend long term money on a company that does not value them. The Vista plan appears to be to bleed the company dry then sell it. No real long term plan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) Stop promoting "yes men" who give you slick presentations and filter the truth. They have no clue on how to manage or lead and are causing more harm than good.
    2) Get a handle on and stop feeding into ugly politics. Politics are driving everything because you allow and reward it.
    3) Stop assuming you are better than everyone because of your title. Learn how to be true leaders, be open to different viewpoints and actually try to understand the business instead of checking items off of the Vista playbook.

I have been working at MRI Software full-time

    Pros

A lot of new young people and the ability to learn together and contribute thoughts and ideas freely to help create processes and improve efficiencies.

    Cons

The new package of operating systems were not implemented correctly. There are several disconnects (between system functionality and departments as well) creating too much manual work, terrible communication and ultimately disappointing service for customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at MRI as your entire team, not just SLT, and hold your sales team accountable.
